Question for anyone who knows, why still leave burns alive when Imhotep fed on him in the end anyway? was it to symbolize see no evil speak no evil? Or some other reason?

@@drummerboy6653 he ripped his eyes and his tongue from him (unlike the others, imhotept just absorbed them), then Evee interrupts (he squints his eyes trying to see but Mr. Burns eyesight was so bad that he thought she was Ankh-Se-Namun) and the Medjay saved Mr. Burns, that's why he needed Benny to consumate the absorption.

The Mummy Returns came out in 2001 (early 2000s). So technically Mummy Returns isn't a 90s movie. I do see your point though. While it came out after the 90s came to a close, it did still have that 90s action-adventure vibe we all know and love from the movie before it.

Although it is not clarified what the curse does exactly. We know that if he comes back, he would be the most powerful immortal creature on Earth, so... Kinda of a lame curse isn't it?

That’s a very good point. Not to mention, his body hadn’t moved for over 3,000 years. So even being immortal, his decomposed body was likely weak at first.

@@jordanelza8806 He was basically a skeleton with patches of muscle here and there. Lowkey, it was kinda satisfying seeing him regenerate all his muscle and tissues throughout the movie.

It is a gamble. Imhotep is actually already supernaturally strong even in this form; he punched his way through the catacombs' ceiling shortly afterwards. If any of the cursed gets too close to Imhotep he easily devours them and powers up. Lastly, like the priest mummies, his severed limbs might be able to operate even when severed. Oh, and the torches can go out and the shotgun will run out of bullets far too quickly.

If she was the baddie, she would know the consequences of what would come. More like an honest mistake. It's more like curiosity killed the cat. Which in this case, her curiosity killed a bunch of people from the actions of a supernatural entity.

Not all, two did manage to escape the locust but they didn't escape the scarabs

At first, he just shambles around using what still remained of his senses. After physically taking Burns' eyes he actually can't see clearly, hence his questioning tone to Evelyn. But its better than nothing and after a few meals Burn's eyes are converted to Imhotep's, restoring his sight fully.

His powers. I like to think those who opened the chest are like a homing device for him.
