Tbf, geoff said he was more experienced with pistols and assault rifles. Gus however has a hunting background. I would imagine most hunters using shotguns or rifles to hunt. They're using weapons they are less experienced with.

Pretty sure Geoff was a photojournalist in the Army (25V). If I'm reaching that correctly, he probably never shot anything besides an M16 rifle and M9 pistol. Shotguns only go to people who kick in doors, like infantry. I went 6 years in the Army before I saw a shotgun.

@@thomasbrand2650 Meanwhile Combat Engineers see a shotgun in OSUT. It all depends on the MOS. Of course, anyone's military experience with a shotgun outside maybe the Navy is usually going to be limited to pushing it against doors and squeezing a trigger. I think OPs point was that Jeff has formal firearms experience and they gave him a shotgun, which is relatively speaking one of the easier firearms to pick up and use. Whereas a handgun is a much harder weapon to learn to use.

I find it Ironic because the Left 4 dead zombies aren't even zombies. There just people who got infected with green flu. The flu just makes them super aggressive and causes mutations in some.

They'd still count as zombies. I mean, a zombie is just something that has been transformed into something that can move but isn't able to think rationally. Like in the original folklore of zombies, there were these voodoo priests who would feed people this potion that turned them into mindless slaves.

Coney the zombie525 But the infected still fit the popular image of the zombies, they are basically brain dead and they do nothing but shuffle about or try to kill the survivors. We don't even really know what the virus does inside an infected, for all we know it could instantly kill the host when it hits the vitals then immediately repurpose the body and reanimate it, thus fitting your definition for zombies. Look at their bodies, I wouldn't simply describe what the special infected as simply sick with a disease, like how the smoker's internal organs have been shuffled about so that he could grab you with his intestines from his mouth. And I just feel like the survivors would call them all zombies if zombie movies were ever made in the left4dead universe.

Actually shotguns aren't used that often in the army. If he wasn't infantry issued a shotgun then he probably never touched one in the army. Like he said rifles and pistols are the only weapons taught to everyone in the army.

It was more like 10 feet... but at that distance there is virtually no spread. It is exactly like shooting a single bullet where an inch means hit or miss. Many people with zero shooting experience honestly don't even know exactly how open sights, even if they play an FPS before, they don't know how to effectively and quickly light up both sights to be accurate.

In every Resident Evil game you can kill Zombies with chest shots.

Re-read. "Supposed to be" and yes, but it takes more shots to do it in any game than a headshot. Every game that lets you get headshots(And actually counts them) deal bonus damage when a headshot is achieved.
