Damon was the only Temptation falsetto singer who sounded the closest to Eddie Kendricks, he was great! The group Impact was great too, and they had other lead singers who were great as well, I wish someone could post their entire concert so the world could see.

Eddie Kendricks set the standard for every tenor that came after him especially the Temptations. No one was better than Eddie; bar none. Some may want to go as far as to say that Damon was just as good. Okay I'll get on board with a little bit of that but better, no. Now having said that imo Damon was the closest thing to Eddie that I've ever heard. I mean he sounded almost exactly like "Cornbread." I saw him and the Temptations at the Michigan State Fair around 1971. Whether it was Damon's debut I can't remember but my 10th grade class (Cass Tech High, Detroit) was there to see them. I remember a few kids saying they thought that he was acting a little bit too much like Eddie. I mean he had all of Eddie's moves down pat. But he was getting down! I remember Dennis was just-a-beaming all over the stage at Damon's performance.
