The Dramàtics run for there money, my mom dated Otis and they sanged at her 16 birthday party, her and eddie was like brother and sister. Detroit in the house motown forever.
But, people. Listen up, listen and see the GREAT "PAUL WILLIAMS" VOCAL, ALONE! COME ON NOW GIVE THIS "MAN",HIS RIGHTEOUS PROPT'S!!!! CASE IS "CLOSE"!!!!
I've missed you since the day you died paul, Eddie, Dennis, Melvin, you all left us way too soon. My God the stunning good looks and impeccable harmony takes my breath away. I cry as I write this. You guys brought happiness to all of us in the hell of veitnam. It made us smile and forget. Back round music at home. You were the only thing I had at times. It's a lesser world with out you. Rest easy fellas. And. Thanks again.
I have heard Dennis Edwards say that Paul Williams was the heart and Soul of the Temptations. Also he mention how much Paul helped him when he joined the group.
@@Debrabuckwill It was actually Paul Wiiliams-I was also impressed and a bit surprised because Dennis Edwards didn't to that Lead to my Girl. Paul's voice had a serious tone and raspy texture that grabbed you as you listened. Dennis did most of David Ruffin's Lead vocals after he left the group, and their voices were both so amazing with a similar range.
Can someone please put this on dvd! Paul Williams singing "I Gotta Be Me" was the best part of the program in my opinion! The Temptations are the GOAT!!!!!
Money and the seeking of fortunate and fame has destroyed and taken so many of our great people to the extent of distinction. My my my if only we could learn to put the Lord first and ask His blessing in all we do and keep us clean and whole in the process our lives and conditions would be so much better. We the people need to get back to basis. D. Pitts
If there's any more shows out there featuring the Temptations like this, please share them... I truly enjoyed this show, and the fact that I could run it back to my favorite parts as much as I liked, was amazing.. the skit with George Kirby was a hoot, and Paul is my man on that solo, and the ending song was befitting the show.. Loved, Loved, Loved, this show ❤
To think that none of these talented TEMPTATIONS guys are still with us; except for Otis. The last to pass was Dennis, on February 1, 2018. Dennis was from Fairfield, Alabama.
Paul absolutely stole the show on this. Every time he took the mic he took that special to another level and so on point with the dancing. He truly was the unsung hero of the group. Pure class. The whole show was very entertaining
I'm glad I can experience the music of the 60's through RU-vid! The Temptations will forever be one of the greatest male groups to ever grace the stage. They were built on the right things I love the interplay w the Temps and George Kirby
Eddie was from my hometown, Birmingham (Ensley) Alabama. As was Paul Williams and Dennis Edwards from Fairfield. When Eddie died, my mom, sister and I went to the funeral home to view him. We saw so many stars from Motown.
Thanks for sharing. As big a Temptation fan that I am, I never saw this show. I am a vinyl collector and have 23 Temptation albums from 1964 into the 80's. But this was a special event. Especially hearing Paul for the first time singing My Girl! What a great vocalist! I have shared this with my daughters and son-in-laws! Temptation fan forever.
have you always had your vinyl records? over the years i lost mine and this new way of doing music i hate. it is like they don't want us to own anything. i miss holding the record in my hand
Many I have owned since back in the 60's. However, many have been purchased from vinyl stores around the country as I travel for work. Granted, they are more expensive these days to purchase due to demand. But I enjoy the search! It is the only thing that I truly enjoy shopping for these days. I can spend hours in a vinyl store trying to find that golden nugget album.
Thank you thank you thank you for sharing this. I thought that I would never get lucky enough to see this in my lifetime. Amazing! Greatest group ever!
All the temptations are good in their own ❤ I love all of the temptations equally not just one. Eddie Paul Dennis Otis Melvin all put their own flavor into the group. And same when it was Eddie David Paul Melvin Otis everyone added their own flavor .
Paul , I adored Him Sooo Much! What a VOICE,,, WOW, He was AWESOME, SEXY and I Truly ENJOY HIM, I can watch My Favorite Temptation EVERYDAY! ❤️ Love You Paul! Wanted To See HIM!
Revin ,Dennis is good, yet Dennis would tell you himself ,we ,were missing something and thats not to put your observation down but Ruffin was an entertainer and I was just thinking while watching this "Wow if only Ruffin was here, cause we only have him doing spot performances not a full hour show like this one.Man I saw David Ruffin at the Apollo and THAT was both a singer and entertainer, that man was superbad , also dont be lieve all that crap you hear and read, now some is true but not to the degree the media would have us believe.
Tunes342 you don't have a clue what you are talking about. when David wss there he led most of those iconic somgs, butt when they fired him they tried to spread the lead around more. You can't replace David Ruffin
Stop fishing for an argument. What I said is fact. The Temptations didn't miss a beat when Dennis Edwards joined, they continued to drop classic after classic. I gave David his props by saying he was great which he was. First song with Dennis was Cloud Nine and it won Motown's first grammy, a classic hit song and many classics followed after. Facts.
Paul Williams was so special and over looked to David and Eddie.... Paul Williams sing that song "Got to be me" Dayum Dayum.... Smokey should wrote Paul more songs.....he is my favorite temp.
We all were super slim back in those times because food wasn't as big a deal as it is in these present times. Fast food chains didn't exist yet either.
Wow! remember this when I was a child. We had this album; my siblings and I used spend all day playing our part in being one or the other Temptations. Just funeralized my Mom two days ago, and this is really bring back memories of her when we were little ones. Wonders of youtube!!
Great video. This reminded me of the scene in The Temptations biopic. "It ain't about the money. Our music, that's who WE ARE. You think the jacks are going to get behind a bunch of sellouts?" ~ Christian Payton as Paul Williams
Thank You Paul Williams For Your Help And Dedication As An Honourable Member Of The Greatest Soulful R&B Group In The History Of 20th Century Pop Culture!
This is a show to remember, The Temptations was great as always, and Kate did her part, she put everything in once in my life. And no body loves you but me. Kate and Temptations look great together. I can’t stop laughing and you know why.
