Here is my final setup and build guide for the impale reap juggernaut. This character utilizes entropic devastation gloves to impale with physical spells in combination with sandstorm visage to ensure decent crit chance. Then for defenses it combines ultra tanky juggernaut with new eternal damnation amulet to make elemental damage a worry of the past. If that wasn't enough new uniques I decided to add one more with annihilations approach for permanent adrenaline in the build. Ultimately I like the boots but without our heavy investment into mitigation and regen they simply have a massive degen downside that is extremely hard to outheal. All in all the juggernaut stacks endurance charges and armour for massive tank along with hefty impale and crit scaling for damage to make a fairly complete package.

I think CaptainLance is a amazing mad scientist. His builds can have a lot of specific items that jump in price. I recommend playing this build way later in the league or even next league. That way you get an uber viable build when its not the meta. I did this for his gigachad Guardian two leagues ago, that build jumped to 90-100 exalt when the video dropped, next league, 30exalt.

definitely a good way to look at it, honestly many times especially for things like forbidden jewels the prices fall back to normal after a couple weeks.

Honestly just start the build 2-3 videos (of his) later. And the stuff usually goes down in price by that time. Sometimes thats a few days, sometimes thats a week or two.

At 12:50 you mentioned letting the shrine buff wear off, you can right click the buff at the top to remove it, figured it wouldn't hurt to let you know ^^

I invested 40-50 d8vs in it, half of my gear is not what's in the pobb yet, but I really don't know if I really want to continue with this build, because atm it can't do even white t16 maps. It's not tanky, it doesn't do damage to creeps, I am very disappointed.

Hi, I've really been trying to make this build work. I just don't do very much damage. I love the build, i really like reap, i like the clear i like the tankyness. But the second I reach a boss or guardian it basically becomes a raid boss. Even an elder guardian takes nearly 2 mins per phase. I have awakened spell cascade, i have impale watchers eye, i have the helm and gloves. Reap is lv28. Not sure what my crit chance is as it does not show in the character panel, but my flask charges fly up due to the belt mod so im critting on hit most of the time. My wand dosnt' have the highest spell damage increase, but my sheild has T1 spell damage. I have RF. What could i be missing?

You need to make sure you're reaching 100% crit chance. This is not easy. Your wand must have at least 10% of base crit, crit cluster jewels, amulet annoint, power charges, etc. Also, you need to stay from a small distance from the mob/boss like LS.

I ended up rerolling into this with some slight tweaks, namely building around Mageblood as a win-more option, which also helped to free up resist affixes on gear. I ended up with something like 75m impale dps (I think? assuming reap hits thrice from woke cascade) and 300k ehp with molten shell. Uberdan has a poison variant of Eternal Damnation Jugg Reap going and I wonder how that compares but so far I've been really enjoying the crit impale version and don't feel any less tanky despite all the damage. solid stuff

@@Jacob-cm3iohonestly feel the same lol. About the same investment. My dmg is finally there but my tankiness is not comparable to my RF jug or his impale jug. No idea why. Also my reap seems to cost a lot more health than his🤣

Hey, quick question. im currently following a guide about impale shockwave cyclone and literally half the damage on that pob is from impale. but i only see harpooner as an impale source. so i though, getting some more impale effect and chance by getting merciless skewering and forceful skewering would be a huge damage buff. but it does less than 6% total damage. how is that possible? getting higher impale chance should be huge, especially with master of metal ascendancy right?

i learned how to import my own character into POB and for his build the reap dps is like 2mil damage in pob, while mine only has 500k. My gear is already like 90% matching what the guide has but still some how my dps is like 1/4 of the showcase here and I can't figure out what I'm missing. Even after tweaking my gear in POB to have a crazy wand + shield, I'm still only at like 1mil dps.

I got a relic of the pact with 29% crit quality and a crit corrupt for 70c and I'm trying to make an entropic devastation/squire/sandstorm visage build with it but I can't come up with a way to scale the damage. 301% hp in the tree is the best I've got so far but that's literally the tree, no damage scaling. I was thinking I could maybe stack some hella phys cluster jewels but I'm completely out of my depth with those so I'm kinda stuck Edit: Assassin btw, I dunno if that's the best choice. Inquisitor seems gud too, same with jugg or occultist. Kind of all over the place xd

Nice! Gonna try switching up my standard RF. Reap looks like a good alternative to fire trap. I ireally dont like the fire trap skill especially for bossing.

To everyone who think they can skip awakened spell cascade, awakened spell cascade overlaps reaps where you click. So your damage spikes really hard. If you cant afford it, do not try it, you will save yourself time and nerves ^^

I very much feel that without awakened spell cascade reap doesn't feel very good to play. maybe others would disagree but I have a hard time seeing it as its both a huge QoL upgrade and big for damage.

How does this compare to the Chieftain version with Tempered by War? I mean the ones that convert all elemental damage taken to fire, and go fire conversion with leadership's price?

a chieftain variation would be strictly fire based reap and I am not sure it would compete, losing the armour jugg node hurts defenses quite a bit.

3 questions, why not a bow with plus skills its another 6 link that can get up to +4 to 5 skill levels and isn't too expensive, also there are couple of quivers that would help with impales? second question, would champion be as good? 3rd question, what about impaler node?

Hey Captain, notes for wand craft on step 4 say "cannot roll attack add physical harvest", but im looking at the harvest crafting bench and dont see this option. Anyone know how to do this craft?

Why not Loreweave? I guess you drop Purity of Fire and Tempered by War, also lose some armour but opens up a lot of passives on the tree.

It decreases ~40% of armour (huge), decreases DPS (armour, gem level), cap all max resistances at 78% and it's another unique item, so it makes more difficult to cap res.

@@PetersonTamarindo Loreweave is pretty easy to target decent corrupts so you could always get lvls. As for the armour drop its undoubtedly huge, I guess running Purity of Fire and Tempered by War wouldn't be so good anymore and when not splitting the damage you get lesser benefit from armour. I guess the benefit of having another aura and freeing up points on the tree wouldn't be enough.

Def noticeable difference without awaken spell cascade sadly. It’s so expensive now I didn’t wanna buy it but had to. I don’t have the boots. even that I still can’t afk tanking yet lol. Maybe I’m doing something wrong 🤷
