As a ruin and demise player, I'm sad to say the combo of candoll into talismandra to summon old demise does not work due to the simple and frustrating fact that end of the world requires exact levels to summon the rituals. You can make the supreme versions though
@@dwemjutsu almost forgot about that card. Honestly given extra deck monsters could be Pendulum Monsters too, I don't think it was a question of whether or not it was possible. Just when they would finally do it. Honestly you could even include a Ritual Spell too that lets you use Monsters in your Face Up Extra Deck by shuffling them into the deck or use Monsters in your Pendulum Zones. Probably not from your hand though. Maybe the non Rituals would be relatively low level while the Rituals would be higher level so they can't as easily be Pendulum summoned. Maybe aesthetically similar to Pendulum Endymion or even Dark Magician. Maybe even try an alchemy theme. Just a lot of eyes you could toy with here.
@@Bezaliel13 honestly I'd kinda like it to be based around the process of creating a Philosopher Stone/Magnum Opus. The Boss is the Magnum Opus itself and comprised of monsters who represent each phase of the process or an important ingredient. The Ritual Summoning is combining them together as shown on the Ritual Spell. Maybe a weaker boss could be a botched attempt that breaks into the base components when it dies. Again, sky's the limit
As a ritual enthusiast, at first the Impcantation engine was extremely helpful but then the game powercrept further to the point that they serve as bricks that lock me from my ED in case of one getting negated on field. They should’ve had some form of protection that made them harder to respond to otherwise they’ll just get negated with how abundant negates are now. They also take out a lot of space that could have been allocated for more archetype cards of the said ritual archetype you want to use them with or more hand traps/interruptions. I’d love more generic ritual support like Impcantations, maybe a pot card for rituals, a generic link monster that allows you to summon a ritual monster from Deck, a generic ritual omni negate. Basically give them what most other mechanics already have access to.
I wish they would make more support similar to Cyberse Witch. The Cyberse rituals aren’t very good or anything, but I do like the mechanics of that card. If something like that was playable in a more competent deck I could see it making rituals at least somewhat competitive (or at least more consistent)
A funny trick its to gift them control of your imps so they can’t do anything. Almost no way to get rid of it in this setup if they cant fuse or link it away
Ruin and demise do kinda like the imps I think. If you go first, the best start of is to get supreme queen ruin on the field since she has destruction immunity built in and 3000 Def which when combined with hand traps can protect the board until supreme king can come out. but with how hard it is to search her ( since preprep only works on og ruin and demise) the one of the ways to get her out consistently is to use the imps. Then with a combination of the imps and the r and d field spell it's possible to get supreme king demise out to nuke the board
They're actually amazing for R&D, the Supremes get their bonus effects if ritual monsters are used as material, and Crealtar is a 10 that you can add back to hand by summoning Penciplume off of Inception's GY effect.
Remember when Konami tried to make support for Ritual Monster and created Djinn Releaser of Ritual and people cried because they said Ritual were too broken? Then Konami banned the card and everyone made fun of ritual monsters again. Yeah, fun times.
Have to disagree on the non-recommendation of Impcantation in Megalith as they are wonderful in it to start plays (outside of Bookstone). If you have a Level 4 Megalith on hand and use Penciplume or Chalislime to SS Candoll and get Inception with it you can use it to Tribute Candoll for a Megalith, then you can use Inception to get Talismandra and a search to then Ritual Summon another Megalith. The engine can pretty much make 2 Level 4 Megalith's on field practically free if I remember correctly.
That part about not being good in Megalith is partially true. Pencilplume and Talismandra do work decently well in a Megalith deck. Those two search for ritual monsters either from the grave or deck which is perfect for Megalith especially if you splash in rituals from a different archetype and don't have another way of searching those. It is absolutely true that the other impcantation cards aren't that useful since Megaliths don't use ritual spells. Also, for anyone who doesn't know, the level 8 Megaliths can be used to ritual summon any Megalith monster and the level 4 Megaliths, while on the field, can ritual summon any ritual monster and it must be one of the cards used in the ritual and the level 2 Megalith can ritual summon a Megalith monster from the hand or deck as a quick effect.
Hey nova, when you do beat the creep trio, can you do a really good punishment for them. An example being sending the gold lich to a room full of cofagrigus who are really hungry. ( cofagrigus are Pokémon who's favorite food to eat is gold, so you can figure out the rest).
Different reality relays make Cofagrigus existing in this world....well, nearly impossible. Let alone being able to summon them. I think we'd be better off getting in contact with the Nekroz and attempt to create something that can consume Eldlich. Or perhaps even....fuse him into a much easier to manage form.....hey, do we know if Yubel is outside of Darkworld?
@@clayxros576 i know that it is not a easy thing to do, to bring a Pokémon into a yugioh realm is impossible, hence why I made it a example and not an idea, However your idea is a much neater one. Ok I got another scenario, when eldlich is defeated he gets banished to a realm of shadows and has to face of with the evil heros and there crazed ruler Yubel, how's this one for ya?

You're the first person I've heard say you shouldn't use incantation and demise whenever I built demise the first thing I did was put incantation because it was recommended by everyone because otherwise the deck just bricks and can't be played
I run megalith/ implantation with diviner for barrone and use phul for abyss dweller to bring back with emergence on oops turn. Imps work with megalith
Love using these guys in master duel, makes for a great budget ritual deck without any extra deck. I use Demise king (free from playing the solo mode), and the chaos blue eyes and dark magician (n/r rarity) and one random max dragon I just happen to have.
Shame rituals are so hard to use like drytrons break the mold and megalith were cool when they were around and by the way is it me but does anyone see candoll looks as if it rocking abs
Something you all probably noticed but don’t think was mentioned in the art they are two creatures combined, the one is hurting the other or something, like in pencilplum the point is getting pushed into the table. The flame melts the candle etc. kinda an interesting detail in there
I am sure someone may have pointed it out already but your demise example is slightly flawed as end of the world needs exact levels and demise is an 8 while candoll and talismandra are a total of 10
This reminds me. Why havent we gotten a ritual/pendulum archetype? Like Ritual monsters that you can set as scales. Maybe a ritual spell that uses scales instead of levels as cost
@@GoldenNovaYugioh looked it up. interesting design. it's monster effect isn't very strong, but it's pendulum effect is really nice. going +1 and having a high level monster in hand is nice support. But imagine if there was a full archetype?

If you're playing a deck that doesn't rely on the extra deck, and Impcantation doesn't really use the field spell card, what are your thoughts on playing "Extra Net" As a field spell? "Whenever a player special summons a monster from their extra deck, their opponent draws one card (not once per turn)" If you're not using the extra deck, seems like a plan to turn your opponent using it into enough card advantage to win on its own...
I use Relinquished in my Impcantation deck. Relinquished is a good boss monster on it's own, and is in fact a secret weapon of mine. Then again, I'm a filthy casual, so disregard what I'm saying.
Hello could I get some guidance!? How could i make this work with chaos dark magician? Ive only found success putting him in a normal dark magician deck but I want him to be the star of the show.
I thought Thanatosis was kind of weak when I first saw it too. However, while building the deck yesterday I realized it can be used to grab the card you need to activate the monster reveal effects. Example: you have Candoll and Thanatosis in your hand, but no ritual spell to activate its hand effect. Use Thanatosis to activate Candoll's special summon effect to get the ritual spell you need. It's still not the best, but it's at least more useful than it initially seems. I just wish it didn't summon out two copies of the card you revealed, though it at least means you have the tributes you need for the ritual summon. Actually, after typing all that, it still isn't that good. The destruction effect is kind of nice though.
