I always loved droids/battle droids of all kinds! They're just cool! Fighting angainst them in games hit or miss...

A few droids you missed: Imperial Construction Droids: Seen in the finale of Andor in the post credits scene. They were used in the construction of the Death Star. DTS-series Dismantler Droid: Seen in the Rebels episode "Steps into Shadow". They were used to dismantle Y-wings from the Clone Wars at Reklam Station. The droids also served as security, being highly durable, and armed with blasters for dealing with hostiles. They also possessed large mechanical claws, fitted with flamethrowers and buzz cutters, all of which were normally used to dismantle Y-wings. They are also able to fly. O0-99 Imperial Orbital Load-lifter: Seen in Darth Vader Annual 2. They were load-lifter droids used in the construction of the Death Star. Stevedore Droid: Seen in the Legends of Luke Skywalker. They were labor droids used aboard AT-ACTs to load and manage cargo. Visual appearance is unknown. Seismic Surveyor: Seen in Servants of the Empire: Edge of the Galaxy. They were used to survey areas and construct a 3-D map of subterranean rock formations, to indicate if it was viable for mining. Visual appearance is unknown. ID-10 Seeker Droid: Seen in Battlefront II. The successor to the ID-9 Seeker Droid. They possess four limbs rather than five. This is just a small list of canon droids, as many more droids that you missed are listed on the wiki.

I honestly always found it a bit weird that B1 battle droids just kinda disappeared. I would think that you would see them, and their parts repurposed into all kinds of different roles. As far as I can tell, B1s had no inherent “battle” characteristics. They lacked integrated weapons, heavy armor, or even rudimentary tactical thinking. There are a lot of jobs that a humanoid droid could do, and these things must’ve been everywhere, and after the war, completely unwanted. What’s to stop a couple of enterprising citizens from just grabbing a B1 and carrying it off to reprogram it as a janitor or burger flipper or something. Weld a few bits of metal over its body, throw a bucket on its head, and change its voice box, or just rip out its speaker and to the untrained eye it just looks like a homemade piece of junk droid.

I believe we see a K-9X1 on that very nice imperial space station over Coruscant? I also love that seen as it shows how the droids get onto the science ship

I love your video. It was really educational. Hey for your next one I have a suggestion: talk about all the people in the Empire who defected from them and became good people. People like Agent Kallus, Jai Kell, Crosshair, Cody, etc. And not just people, but also droids like: AP-5, 264, K2SO etc. You get the idea. Anyway I hope you think about it. Please let me know what you think.

If only the dark troopers used Beskar. It was really underwhelming in retrospect to have Luke deus ex machina it :/

In one of the new Disney series they show someone blasting a “gonk” droid or power droid as a means of taking out multiple enemies. Perfection because those things are literally little mini fusion reactors.

I don’t understand why no life forms, especially those that wear armor don’t use some type of wearable anti gravity or repulsor device. Imagine having palm or wrist, and foot or leg mounted repulsor lift nodes in combination with a mandalorian style jet pack. It basically turns someone into iron man. They use the jet pack for thrust, and the repulsor lift nodes for fine control of hovering in place. It goes even further than that. The mandalorian gauntlet is purpose built to combat force abilities. So having a repulsor and also a tractor beam node would basically mimic the abilities of a force user. And if you hooked yourself up to external power you’d be considerably more powerful than the average force user. Strong enough to pull ships from orbit or force starfighters to move against their controls. But just being able to steal blasters and other weapons from enemies would be value enough.

The OG probe droid was also armed with a blaster, you forgot it returned fire on Solo and Chewbacca on Hoth,

There is a couple you missed, the droideka sentinel and droideka oppressor. They were used by both the empire and rebels to guard bases. Im not sure if these are canon anymore, as tbey are from a pretty obscure mobile game that got shut down back in 2020. The game was considered canon back then though, and disney hasnt decanonized it to my knowledge The game was called star wars commander, it was pretty much clash of clans, but star wars. It was a very good game that i still miss

Nice video.. i personally like the sepratest/inquisitor prope droid, but also that small viber droid used droid with the mini blaster, alot more efficient then that big one used on hoth I also liked the use of the security droids, good for protical which is something you didn't mention they could do a little more then you mentioned... Same with the infultater, but both very deadly and useful. Based off what we see the sentry droids are useless.. dark troopers very good and also had the other weakness of exspense and took alot of power remember You also forgot the dismantler droid mate

The Empire sent droids to uninhabitable planets... Excuse me, of course, but the helmets of stormtroopers are equipped with a special breathing device, as well as the fact that the armor protected against many natural problems

You forgot to mention the Sentinel Droid ( Palpatine's last plans if he died ) in Battlefront 2 game and comics. But good job on vids tho

I think it is poor writing when they made the prequels. They couldn't wait to turn anikin into vader and show that Vader, Palpatine, Tarkin shot at the end of Revenge. It was rushed and there wasn't a good hand off to New Hope. The fact that in so many of the new star wars content you keep on hearing about cost effectiveness budgets, etc, why wouldn't they keep some droids around if they are cheaper than Clones. Especially on some of these far reaching places where Crosshair went on a mission where he killed a IMP Officer or where Andor robbed the Empire..

Thanks for bringing those adorable ID-9 droids to my attention! I want one of my OCs to have one now. He's an Explorer -- basically a Starfleet captain in the SW galaxy, and an ID-9 would be the perfect assistant/pet for him.

This is good, but were is the Droid with the Multiple eyes on the head?

There is also the ID10 Seeker droid used by Inferno Squad, though this may just be an ID9 upgraded by Del Meeko and not a mass produced model
