@@PoorManatee6197The Death Korps is well known for their shockingly bizarre usage of sacrifice within their ranks; including Kommissars. When the Death Korps of Krieg was first deployed to active combat they showed fanatical aggressive tactics that often ended the lives of many Krieg soldiers, however many lives were lost in countless battles of attrition the Death Korps always secured it's objectives no matter the cost. Due to their planets betrayal many millenniums prior during a bloody civil war the planet of Krieg was annihilated by constant loyalist nuclear bombardment (for 500 years if I remember correctly), rendering the planet to ashes. The Death Korps now only has its inhabitants to offer the Imperium. All of which go to the one of the many regiments Krieg has to offer as it's penance for its betrayal to the Emperor of Man. This devotion of sacrifice of its soldier's has become one of the many reasons as to why the Death Korps of Krieg is regarded as one of the best armies that the Imperium of Man has to offer in the 41st millennium. May I suggest watching one mind syndicate's channel on the 40 facts of the Death Korps of Krieg and maybe you'll have a different opinion on them.
@@jick408 GW chose to ignore certain pvp events to move the story/lore in the direction they wanted. Abaddon isn't known as Abaddon The Harmless and Failbaddon without reason. The lore was beginning to get stale IMHO, so I can understand why GW did it.
There's a nice little banter in one of the DoW games about the Cadians, A Dark Angel Sergeant remarks how the guard units on a planet haven't broken and fled like little girls in-front of Chaos Space Marines. An other Dark Angel remarks "Those are the markings of Cadia, those aren't your average guardsmen".The Guard than contacts the Space Marines to offer them a priority target, the Sergeant makes a quiff if the Guard can hold, the Cadian Sergeant merely answers "Cadians do not break". During the campaign you have the Sergeant going from skeptical to being actually impressed by the Cadians. PS. You forgot to mention 1 thing that really is different with other regiments. Cadian leaders lead from the front and are selected on merit. The very corruption and shocking nepotism you find in most of the Empire is by sheer necessity lacking on Cadia.
"To each of us falls a task, and all the Emperor requires of us Guardsmen is that we stand the line, and we die fighting. "It is what we do best - we die standing." - General Sturnn of the Imperial Guard
@@thefurryteacher1120I was about to say, they have two different modus operandi. Cadians *hold* the line at all costs, Kriegers *take* the line at all costs.
I love that you can tell an 'elite' guard unit from a normal because, because "Standard Issue", actually means "Standard Issue". But damn, if anyone merited being called the best of them, it's the Cadian Shock Troops. After all, the planet broke before the guard did.
@@Amenahek more like being a temper tantrum kid can't even take one planet after 12 failures so he resorted to just nuke the planet with the blackstone fortress that's like a kid getting jealous over someone else's sand castle and decided to throw a rock at it
Thanks for covering the Imperial Guard. Without them there would be no Empire of Man! Good to hear that the other regiments in the armybook and Death Korps will get their own video. As for regiments for the coverall video, I'd recommend Praetorians (discontinued range) and Elysian Drop Troops (discontinued forgeworld range)
A very extremely awesome video as always ItalianSpartacus. And ItalianSpartacus remember from during Abbadon's the 1st black crusade to the current and outgoing 13th black crusade and many other chaos invasions, it was not only consist of traitor marines, but also consist of chaos cultists, traitor guard, daemons, chaos titans, chaos knights, many other servants and many other horrors as well.
Johannes Hjortshøj sorry looking at my reply it seems pretty rude, but the reason I said so is that Italian Spartacus is covering important regiments/factions and Elysian drop troops don’t stand out to me as an important regiment.
@@pidermanz3963 They do have forgeworld representation though. And honestly they are dynamic and exciting enough that I would consider it a missed oppurtunity to not delve into it.
"Welcome the enemy not with the worship of their false gods, but with the hail of bullets that depict mankind bloody history. Let them know fear, for the God emperor has cast judgement upon them." -No memory and I butchered it XD.
Little does Abaddon know that creed has infiltrated Retribution class battleships behind the bodies of every cadian slain on its assault, soon the galaxy shall ring with Abaddons cries of CREEEEEEEED!!!!! When the ships move on to flank his black crusade for he is a tactical genius!
I would love too see Cadian Shock troops take on the Death Korp of Kreig over a possible disagreement that leads to major hostilities but thats just me
I've been told that the Starship Troopers were designed after Cadians and the Arachnids were based off Tyranids. Something about one of the GW sculptors went out on his own. There was even a lawsuit over Intellectual Property rights and now whatever a designer sculpts at GW belongs to GW.
Welllll!! The book starship troopers actually has space marines.. Like it's the first portrayal of a powered exosuit in literature.. But I wouldn't be surprised because they look soooo similar
The first heretic novel was my introduction to the 40k universe. Which honestly if you know NOTHING about the 40k series is a crazy place to start cause it's basically the nexus of all that is to come. It kept me reading trying to answer a burning question the story had ignited in me. Were the gods real? As the story starts the imperium and everyone basically beats it into you that NO gods are BS. By the end of it you are left wondering if that's true or if they really do exist and this is a lie. What is a good? What qualifies one to be a God? And just because it is a good does that mean it deserves your worship and obedience?
Personal suggestions for regiments that need covering The Ice Warriors of Valhalla The Armageddon Ork Hunters The 13th Penal Legion (aka Schaffer’s Last Chancers)
In a supreme effort to not scream the obvious badass tagline like everyone will be doing, I would just like to point out you know you're the shit when your regiment is the in-universe poster boy of the Imperial Guard as a whole. Also... fuck it, "CADIA STANDS"
He'll guns are plasma cannons. Not the same thing as a hot shot lasgun and the hot shot is just a harder hitting lasgun long lasgun is the sniper verant of lazgun and that to comes in hot shot models of the different marks
The Space Marines a Scalpel? ... Even taken into account how big the universe is and how few Spacemarines there are in comparison, that statement just feels wrong.
Kind of does. Space marines are best at Fast, Quick and Decisive strikes with relatively small units while the Guard are good at holding ground in vast formations.
The death korps of krieg is the well discipline of all imperial guard that the fatality of their regiment is all time high cause they will most likely wont retreat and fix bayonets hell if they are stationed im cadia they will die with cadia
