@@codename1176 You see, while yes the emperor and a great many other high ups are not very good, things like the Tarkin initiative that makes matters seem worse, are almost completely necessary due to the amount of crime and other problems that rose after the fall of the republic. The death star: It is essentially the Galactic civil war's version of real life's development of the nuclear bomb. Not meant to be used often, but will be if no other option. Main purpose of it's very existence is to drive fear into those who would seek to destroy the empire and it's structure that now holds together the galaxy. A good example that is in canon would be the scene in The Mandalorian when they show the Mining Collective come in and force control over the citizens of Mos Pelgo after the empire's defeat at the Battle of Endor. Without power, Structure, A competent Government And the means to crush rebellion and terrorism, there is only chaos.

@@malditooyoutube1234 I personally don't consider Disney cannon. Even so, an Empire that big is bound to have remnants for a long time. Rome didn't fall in a day and all that. But the Empire was only a cohesive whole until roughly the end of Episode 6.

If we citizens cannot restrain ourselves, GOVERNMENT will do it for us in oppressive laws and measures that infringe upon such rights. @@curtisharvey2330 Yes, I'd say those AT-ATs are at least twice the size of a canon AT-AT. The cargo space of an AT-AT hold about 40 troopers on 2 levels. This looks like 4 levels. Also the head is way to large. It should hold a small pilot crew and be about 1 level large. This is at least 2 levels.
