Thanks for posting! I'm a keyboard player but I have played Sax before and I wanna get back on and the price of High End saxes from back in the day and even now are 3k-6k but for that price you can get you an awesome Soprano,Alto, and Tenor from Eastern Music. I had my eye on something that is currently $3,000 but I want Eastern Music Horns Now!!
i have the same one and it is amazing with great sound and good quality. Im a beginner and its good to know my money was well spent coming from someone who has over 20yrs experience in the game. Keep doin ya thang and enjoy it brotha!
My limited knowledge of these machines are that they come with high-quality pads. Watched a video by a working pro that does a lot of gigs in Florida, that uses one of their tenors and likes it. I would think compelling for that kind of person as you could afford having a backup horn. I can do most repairs, so something like this does sound nice. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful machine.
You should give it a try. I was so happy that I discovered EM. I have gotten closer to the sound in my head with their instruments than any other brand. And the price is so reasonable for the quality of the instrument that you receive. If you really are serious about getting one you can contact Arnold Wang on Facebook and tell him I told you about it. He will hook you up with a great saxophone. You will be happy!
It would be nice if E M would give us more details on their horns such as build quality and what qualifies them as professional instruments. I doubt they are as good as my Keilwerth which never comes out of adjustment , and my Yamaha’s reliability and response .
I have had mine for over a year now. And I have not had to take it to the shop and it is still playing great! I take care of my horns though. I keep it swabbed out and try not to bang them up. EM is very transparent that some of their designs are modeled after horns that people have loved and used for years. They still make the horns their own though. So they are unique designs. I think it is smart to figure out what works and why. And then try to make it better. In the end the consumer/buyer wins especially when this can be done at a much lower price. It is definitely a pro horn in my opinion.
