Thank you for the video Geoff and George.....I appreciate your confidence on Easton arrow shafts, specially the X10 Parallel Pro and the 360 degree all around guaranteed spine. I'll be honest, I believe you, but I'm having a hard time visualizing the spine will be perfect to what is claimed to be from factory all around. Many arrow manufactures claim the arrows are spine aligned, I beg the difference.....I always spine aligned my arrows with noticeable difference from claimed spine aligned from factory.... I'm willing to spend $350 for a dozen of Easton X10 Parallel if you can guarantee me they will have a perfect 250 spine all around 260 degrees. I have no doubt in my mind your product is top notch, after all, Easton has been around for many generation way before many of the new players in the game. Cheers.....

I've had great performance with my Axis. Never felt the need to pay for match grade.

When I got into archery back in I think it was 1989, I tried to make sure that my efforts were as committed to understanding the mechanics of the arrow functions and keep my knowledge as accurate as possible, and I've attempted to collect for every year of getting every catalog for arrow knowledge,, i have shot other arrows but I always went back to easton arrows, I always felt that easton arrows were guru company of all arrows, but now they stopped printing the catalog, but I remember as much as I can, everyone has their own opinion about what makes a good arrow, sorry I can't feel the same about any other arrow, but if you do your part, you'll probably get what your looking for

Thanks for the information. It brings up a question. If selecting XX75 arrows for a junior/beginner and a weak spine 1516 is chosen, does the published data still refer to a 28" span for the spine deflection data. 2024 catalogue shows a 1516 is provided in a stock length of 26.75" and spine of 1.405 Once the point and bushing are fitted, does the free internal distance between bushing and point reduce the shaft's ability to flex at the stated spine of 1.405 and was this originally measured at 28" or was it measured at 26.75" The same can be said for a 4mm carbon shaft with a heavy stainless 120 grain point. That point takes up a lot of space which can no longer flex as the point is glued in there. Subtract the space needed for a pin nock and the available flexible portion of the shaft has been consumed, leaving the shooter in doubt as to what the actual spine rating is. Is it not better as a company to bring in a minimum stock length of say 30" for all shafts that are currently less than 30" Looking forward to your reply

So what happens for junior archers who have to cut their arrows to less than 28"? I've read online that 1" cut off is like a spine stiffer, but is there a more exact way to find out what the 'new spine value' would be after cutting - eg, hypothetically cutting an A/C/E from stock 29.62" for a 780 by 3 inches brings new length to shorter than 28" so how would you determine the spine value?

Easton axis, don't worry about match grade, spend the extra money that you saved by getting the standard axis on quality after market part's for building the arrows and make sure that both ends of the arrow have been squared off, now your got some of the best arrows you can get

I gonna throw another comment into this arrow quality line of thought, a little more than 2,3, years ago, when I discovered all around the world competition, anyone who was anyone, well known names, of those who were in the top 15 positions of world class positions, I was beginning to refer to the tournament's as 'world cup class, watching all those shooters hold their aim,and with the level of steadiness that they were showing, these people these archers are insanely deadly and watching everything through RU-vid, 99% of everything of everything you is none other than easton X10 ,and with easton being the same company building and promoting their hunting arrows, the human isn't a machine, but with all things being equally tuned within reason, these human archers aren't far off the mark, but I think it's rather sad that money reward purses aren't any more than they are, when the world competition first stages start out the way they do, the high level competition n pressure, you know your biggest competitor is yourself, cause your own nerves will tell the real story every time, I'm really so dam I got into archery when I did, watching anyone and everyone commit to their own personal best, to have your fun days and then having your tournament days, realizing your always shooting against yourself, that's a personal rush

I get consistency is vital, but compound bows and modern recurve bows don't need any bend in the arrow to clear the riser like old traditional bows, so why is there any variation in spine weights at all? You should be able to shoot a solid rod that doesn't flex at all because it doesn't need to bend around the riser, making spine flex seem like more of a gimmick. What am I missing here?

Arrows still need to be able to bend because even with new riser design the mechanics are still the same, the reason arrows bend is because they are getting pushed extremely fast by the string and that force takes time to get to the front of the arrow. Essentially the back of the arrow is moving and the front isn't, causing it to bend.
