In today's video, I'm here to walk you through some important changes coming to Canva's design sharing links. If you’ve received an email about this, don't worry-I'm here to make it simple and clear for you.

✨ What's Changing?
Canva is transitioning from "view-only" links to "public view" links. I'll show you exactly what this means and how to manage your design links effectively. Whether you're sharing your designs for others to view or creating templates for sale, I'll guide you through the new process.
🔗 Website Link Improvements
Canva is also updating its website links. While Canva isn't perfect for full websites, it's great for landing pages, portfolios, and events. I'll share tips on how to optimize these links and enhance your Canva web presence.
🛠️ Keeping Your Links Accessible
Don't miss this crucial part! I'll explain how to ensure all your shared links remain active and accessible. This step is vital because, after July 31st, any non-updated links will become private. I'll walk you through the simple process to update all your links in just a minute.

Hi Pam - when I click the link it takes me to my account page - I don't see where to go to the page for where my shared link page is located - can you please direct me to that from my account page to where to go for shared links? thxs

Yes it takes us to our account- www.canva.com/settings/share-links-update. If you have links that need to be changed then the page will open to that with this: Your designs need attention From July 31st 2024, we’ll begin removing existing View Only, Template, and Website share links for your designs below. Anyone using these old links won’t be able to access your design. We’re making these changes to improve how designs are shared and enhance security. So does it mean View Only ( Public View ) links are changing or the Templates sharing links too? Cause they say "Anyone using these old links won’t be able to access your design." Does that mean that we have to manually update our Template Sharing links too or we should just to go through the process of updating as you have shown? I have 900 of them :((, if I have to manually update the links for my future customers, I honestly don't have a manpower nor time to do it.

View ONLY- and Canva is changing them for you- no manual thing at all. Click the link- walk through the simple and easy steps then less than 30 seconds your links are updated.

@@pamallenonline Did that already but stressed as they mentioned access so I panicked for a min for my template access links. Thanks a lot

I was worried about the same thing, so I asked their AI help assistant - this is the response I got --> "If you've shared a design as a template using a link, the link will remain active and won't need to be re-shared unless you change the sharing settings. However, please note that anyone with the template link can use the design as a template. They will need to sign in, but you won't know who has made copies of the design."
