@@GraffitiStar1999 I noticed that right away too. It's just Altair's armor ( or Thomas? forgot his name, the Assassin from the very start of Ac UNITY youre chasing as a templar) in blue and with some random npc armors mixed in
For anyone who doesn’t know, all the shops in France are independent from each other, and France is also independent from Ireland/England/Norway (which are linked). That means you can make a total of seven skill/mastery points per level up by buying six plus the one you get for levelling. Five shops in France, and one in one of the three other locations mentioned. Also, I’m pretty sure that cloak makes it so you can walk around with getting hassled in certain areas. But maybe I was just getting lucky.
Purely speaking for myself here, I'm a huge Viking history guy, I love Viking culture and the modern sub culture surrounding it.. I've put 200+ hours into this game and it's been pretty damn good in all honesty. .for the most part But I think at this point it's time to admit that it's just not really what people with my interests want.. Its become a very bland open world. This latest DLC is just lack lustre, painfully average.. With moderate amount of content. I really hope a developer comes along and takes the Viking theme and really expands it out in the future.. The Assassin's Creed aspect just doesn't carry it for me.. Its almost like they don't know what this game is supposed to be.. But hey.. I'm just a random guy voicing my totally unimportant opinion 👍
I am all for history in an AC game, and I absolutely love Viking culture and mythology, but the Assassin's Creed franchise _is_ categorized as Historical _Fantasy._ What do you mean the *Assassin's Creed* aspect just doesn't carry it for you? It's an *Assassin's Creed* game. "It's almost like they don't know what this game is supposed to be.." It's supposed to be an Assassin's Creed game set in the Viking era. Not a Viking game with Assassin's Creed lore.
@@meganlodon it is a viking game with scraps of ac lore, there is no ac gameplay at all, for every letter related to ac lore in some underground location there are 50 viking missions and unrelated story arcs alongside it, in terms of gameplay this is the worst ac game concept alone, the execution is even worse, some of the story (about 40%) is ac undoubtedly and is great, however the rest of that story and 95% of the gameplay is awful.
@@jar444 That's your opinion about the gameplay, and while I have an opposite opinion, it is your opinion. However, about the game being not an AC game is quite inaccurate. It doesn't matter the percentage. As long as it has the core elements of an AC game and expands on it's lore (which is the majority of the game's main storyline), then it's an AC game. Core elements: • *Assassns,* Hidden Ones, what ever else they are called. It doesn't matter if the main protagonist is an "assassin". It only matters if said character has a hand in the brotherhood. • *Templars,* Ancient Order, what ever else they are called. It doesn't matter if the main antagonist is an "templar". It only matters if said character has a hand in the order. • *The Isu,* the ones who came before, the pagan gods, what ever else they are called. This is the main core element of an AC game. Every game has Isu lore. Every character in every game has either met, helped, or became who they became because of, the Isu. That said, the reason we get the missions and storylines that are apart from the core elements, is quite obvious. It just merely depends on what character we play as. We have played, for too long, a character who merely engages in the Isu. Now, twice we have played a character, who has Isu blood running through her veins. A direct connection vs an indirect connection to the Isu. The Isu are the sole reason why assassins and templars are at war. It's Assassin's Creed; it's about the Creed and why it exists, and not because of the assassins themselves. And the Creed exists to keep the Templar's hands from Isu artifacts and knowledge. So, you can hate the game all you want, and say all you wish, but your subjective criticism does not change the truth that it's still an Assassin's Creed game; no matter how many times you deny it. While you have yet to do this, the major mistake many "fans" make is comparing each AC game, and put one above the others. It doesn't work that way. Each are to their own. Equally. If one doesn't like something in a game, it shouldn't be because they had higher expectations because of a previous AC game. Which is unfortunately what makes many "fans" have a biased opinion about a game before they even get through the prologue. Sorry (not really sorry) for this being longer then intended. I'm too passionate (and maybe a little obsessed) of the franchise that I tend to get carried away.
@@meganlodon you just listed isu, templars and assassins, all story points? i said the gameplay was the shit part and the non ac part, dreadful parkour, horrific stealth and forced combat every other second you’re running the game, missions are designed to throw you into combat, there are tons more missions where you are forced into fight than there are even optional stealth, where still combat is encouraged over it, absolute joke of an ac in terms of gameplay mate.
@@jar444 I did say it was your opinion to hate the gameplay, because not everyone has the same perspective of what you consider "horrible". But, anyway, I was replying to your points about the game not being an AC game, and how "little" it had to do with AC.
Started playing at 2 o clock in morning and.only slept 2 hours. Lol. Love this dlc I was hoping would be bigger but I'm still happy. I've been a fan of assassins creed sence the beginning and I cant get enought. I'm one who likes all the games old and new, but I am a little worried about the future plan for infinity. I hope they dont mess it up, and I really hope they continue the modern day story that is in vahalla if it doesnt conclude with the 2and year of content. I love your channel I wish I found earlyer. I only found during valhalla. I've played sence the original so have gone back and watched some older videos. Keep it up great channel and great content for people who love the series.
Feels like 1HS and scythes deal shitty damages even on default level scaling and i think it's because they didn't add skill points to improve specific weapons damages like they did with base game weapons (GS, dane axes, seax, etc...). Hope they add it in the future
I absolutely love the siege a Paris it felt like I was playing AC 1 and 2 again with the special assassinations and what not. I'm just started and I'm loving I really hate the fookin rats though. I also love the little lore drops of the Rat King as well
@@joon-young9589 I had the season pass so I was able to play it early I'm only about an hour and thirty minutes into it and I love it. The gig size for me on xbox one was 10.9 gigs
@@johntaviuslong699 l just checked thanks it’s available now, (checked yesterday it wasn’t showing up but l kept seeing videos everywhere everyone saying it’s out although l couldn’t see it)
The special Assassinations was introduced in Unity but I know what you're saying because of cutscenes and how it was handled made it feel like those AC you mentioned
Almost didn’t want to watch this cause i didn’t want to get too hyped up but i couldn’t resist and now i’m SUPER hyped to play. Thankfully there is about an hour and a half until i can download it.
@@smitherelli5753 it's a sci fi/fantasy series as much as it is a historical series. All the previous games have had crazy underground isu architecture and first civilisation stuff barely plays a role in valhalla. They could've made it so much more interesting by having crazy underground stuff hidden around the map but they didn't even bother with that.
@@smitherelli5753 not true. It's just a custom of copying and pasting the same buildings, lootable containers and everything in-between. They more or less use the same prebuilt structures and land scapes no matter the location. Still looks nice just not very unique.
At this point in time in Assassin's Creed Valhalla there's only one thing I care about and that's when and or if they'll give us the outfit Odin where's that you see him wearing throughout the game that cloak is freaking awesome
@@johnnymartinjohansen It happens on all systems. Every Quick save, auto save, ... except for the occasional auto save cloud creates corrupt data + a big error message on screen. So every minute or every 2 minutes you have to press x to get rid of the error message. And If I am not quick enough Eivor freezes. I can still look around but not move. Opening the map shows Eivor in black and white.
A question for next Interview with Ubisoft: it would be nice if you could talk, that Ubisoft could include a Funktion to make the cape of the Hoodarmorpeace invisible, to have more costamizition options, together with this classic assasinscreed Feeling. It would be nice if you could ask about that.
With Rebel missions, I just upgraded the number of them and never went to get the allies - I attacked from the back and slaughtered everything on my own meaning I didnt ever lose anyone because they were still waiting for me to arrive.
@@tripleastacz372 that's true, it's called set dressing and ubisoft are so guilty of it. Massive open world's with nothing to do in them. But then again, that doesn't mean make the maps super small either
For me overall this DLC it's great but i wish they give us more new armor and for me especially i want a Black Blue Armor so i finally become Sub Zero in Ac Valhalla!
Already finished it 40 Minutes ago, it was actually amazing, tough I wished a bit more action during the storming in the City itself. The siege wasnt realy feeling like a siege since you only had to do 2 things to prepare for the attack but I have to admit that it stunned me. The enemy were ok, not bad but the cavalry was disapointing, not realy strong or useful. They could have made more in this DLC but it was actually good. Hope they make more stuff like that in future
@@kjk607 well for me it was definetely better than wrath if the druids and it made me actually interested in the paris story arc. I'd give it a 6,8/10, it may seem a bit harsh but if they would have put in 25% more effort in it, like say make the siege actually feel like one and the cavalry a bit more useful, it would have set the perfect vibe. I would have given it a 10/10 because the atmosphere was realy there and espacially at night. It was cool to have something new and more content, the swords and Scyths are also realy clever and it makes me feel like playing the Prolog from AC Unity only that it has no templars in it but a longer story with a brighter map 👌🏻
Been playing the dlc for about 15 min and I can hardly tell the difference between Ireland and Paris(land scape whole traveling) it’s actually disappointing
IKR! the fate of Atlantis even tho it had many reused assets from the base game still had a great story and a beautiful world, hell even the Asgard storyline is better than the last two Valhalla "DLC"
@@swiftshinobi8337 Yeah, I'm not saying these two are bad dlcs, it just when compared to fate of Atlantis, and curse of the pharaoh, it becomes disappointing. If they just advertised it honestly instead of hyping it to be the biggest dlc, I would be ok with it. I was really looking forward to playing it.
@@riventide1801 now ain’t there supposed to be 2 more DLCs next year? Atleast one more. Let’s hope those are actually better than what we currently got.
I agree, also the fact that they are not aknowledging the events of the main game even though both wrath of the druids and this one are set after the end of the main story really pisses me off. I mean, in origins or unity you could play the dlcs early even if they were set after the game
@@giovanniterranova5858 nah if story DLCs are set after then they shouldn’t be available until you complete the main game. Unless this DLC is in the form of a standalone story.
Got to say, the gameplay is massively improved. The assassination events make the gameplay more fun and interesting. If only they had implemented the same in the base game, the game would have been more enjoyable
I love AC valhalla but I really hate how big the weapons are, they seem to double in size when you attack. Also the fighting just seems like you have godly strength and speed, you fly about when hitting people 😂 the game would be flawless if they had a more grounded and immersive fighting style and weapons
@@ddddavyy8383 because that's what they said, another year of content. Biggest amount of content, not biggest DLC pack. A whole new year won't be one DLC. It will be two at least. First year was this and wrath of the druids.
I was hoping it would have some cool landscape or something, doesn’t look any different than normal:-/ also how do you get that big hook weapon I want her
They had a great thing here and they totally missed their mark on the actual siege. Unless there is two. I expected too see the long bridge enclosed with I dunno maybe the spiked ball on chains like in the Viking tv show, along with siege towers etc. felt pretty anti climatic for such a build up.
Why does the dash asorb alot of stamina in this game??? When Eivor gets puffed out... he sounds like hes having a heart attack. Plus what else pisses me off is when he gets stuck on the ledges and running along the walls.
As soon as I got to the Melun gates character I was following on horse got off and became absolutely unresponsive to the mission:/ I hope this gets fixed🤞 and that not many people run into the same problem tomorrow
You need to pause the silver and xp boost, they are located on the top right of the inventory screen. They are currently bugged and pausing them fixes this issue.
Just says every 10seconds ”Failed to save game progress” and does not help if you load any other save or start the game again. Any solutions for this shit ?
Thing to know : no asssassins + copy paste of the main game + black box mission and some loot and skills but this dlc was a little bit disappointing I have to say
If you think wrath of the druids was bad, well this one is worse. I wish I never spent all that money preordering the ultimate edition. These DLCs are down there with CP2077 for me.
@@mysterious___1 no I have a fully upgraded ration and I’m 2 upgrades away from being full on my arrows plus 5 for an alter. I tried the highest region on the highest difficulty and still nothing. I’m gonna try to uninstall and reinstall the game
I have a question Where can you change hair styles in Melun ? I can't seem to find a mirror or something like there was in Dublin (also where is that new hairstyle that was teased with the dlc ?)
This is driving me crazy! I can’t find one either, or a place to change tattoos and there’s quite a few new sets! The new hair becomes available in the rebel missions store, you need to reach infamy level 4 to unlock the hairstyle and its colors.
@@jar444 exactly, and only 2 raids.. Come on.. "ThErE iS a RiVeR rAiD uPdAtE cOmInG"..... Yeah the free update not on the season pass.. This dlc was supposed to be THE One to wait for.. Got this on pc, updated already to 1.3 with season pass. Turned pc on today to play and needs a 66gb update, wtf! The game already takes up 108gb on my drive, and this dlc is tiny?
Patch size does not necessarily mean the game size changes much. Some patches (due to how they are packaged and such - all comes down to how developers do their file structuring) can be fairly large, while the total game size might not change that much. Seen loads of games do XYZ GB patches, just to do a small hotfix. Those are fairly annoying, but that's what happens when developers do massive files for everything - when one small thing needs changing; the whole file usually needs updating, so a few MB worth of a hotfix (on it's own), might turn out to be several GB because it's in one massive file or something. No clue why you ran into having to download/patch again though.. The general area of the DLC looks tiny - but doesn't really "play like a tiny area". Yeah, that might sound weird, but you'll probably understand what I mean, when you start playing it. All in all, it's a great area - feels much better than the previous DLC, in my opinion.
