think it’s probably important to mention that sway bar links should always be installed with the suspension loaded to set the “neutral position.” Installing them on an unloaded suspension will put torsion load on the bushings when you lower the car and cause them to wear prematurely.
I just finished getting my junkyard forester struts on my 05 impreza outback thanks for the help! I used some 1 1/2” high density plastic for the trailing arm spacers and its solid.
Hey new follower here! Just bought the same car but a 98 that came already lifted on the forester shocks. This video helps a TON! Please keep posting your progress with the car! And if you ever drive it down to Las Vegas let’s go off-roading! 😎🤙🏻
@@bendaga I'm sure your car would love the desert like mine does! haha also, just wanna add that right now I'm not rocking any sway bars and its not that bad. But I did get something instead of the trailing arm extensions. I met another guy who had this car and he used the trailing arms off a similar year Forester and was able to achieve the same thing. I took his advice and got those because I met him before I saw your video lol but also a pretty easy part to find at the junkyard! I'll let you know how it looks!
ver. IV Sti converson on a 95 L of the same color. Love the video. I can add that a successful east coast rally driver who runs a wagon like yours (narrow it down lol) told me personally he didnt run any front way bar at all on his race wagon.
This is GREAT! Reaaly Thank you for your video. If You remember I talked to you before about my $1900 wagon. I bought it lifted with spacers, but I noticed limited handling when riding through the corners. So I will definetly upgrade my Impreza with this sway bar links. I don´t know if I will be able to find some, but I´ll try. Thank´s again :)
@@BurtGummerLive nope. Subarus naturally have a centered weight distribution due to the engine design. Not having a rear sway bar doesn’t take away from the cornering. It won’t be like a lowered subi, but not like a total truck either haha
@@bendaga car was on blown struts and still felt real stable in corners. Not as nimble on my Integra but a great handling car. I’m planning on running without them but would rather it be hooked up. I’ve seen people using the forester rear sway bar brackets also. Maybe I’ll try that eventually.
Hey man can you put a link in the description where you got the front sway bars? I think I'm looking at the right ones on Kartboy.com but I wanna make sure Also, I messaged you on Instagram!! Hmu bro!!
