Hi Shweta, So when the exam was paper based they use to give this, however as of now they do no not give this! All necessary information is provided in the question and to be safe it’s always better to memorise the most common Z scores.
CFA level 1 question about Quants subject. How are the questions actually? I'm finding it tough to be honest (while going through the EOC questions). I'm doing great with the basic and the sums where you just need to put the formula and solve it. But i am struggling in the more intense question and the ones where ypu require to first derive some values and then put it into another formula. Is quants really tough?
So I had faced the same issue when I was doing quants in L1…In fact most people I know faced this issue of finding the concept easy but somehow the questions seemed too confusing. If you have time for your exam, I suggest you solve some more of the curriculum questions (EOC from curriculum notes) once and then leave quants for a little while. Sometimes when we think too much that it’s not happening our mind gets very blocked…So go do other subjects for a bit then come back … Just revise your notes and start solving again. Personal experience for me was that the exam was a little easier for some questions and a little tougher for some…So don’t worry too much just genuinely know the concept and PRACTISE different types off questions!
Hello, I had a question regarding the break please. Is everyone sitting in the room dismissed for the break at the same time? Or am I able to take my break earlier than someone else if I submit the AM section earlier than the 2 hours 15 min? I assume it would be distracting to have people walking in and out of the room whilst you are still trying to finish your section. Thank you!
Hello, Your exam starting point, break and end time is individual to you. Everyone starts when they reach their desktop and can end their paper and take a break or leave whenever they want (within the permitted time).
Hello ma'am hope you are doing good . Actually I have a valid passport and it is having validity till 2030 but the passport has on the back Emergecy check required (ECR) is there any problem or not . Please help with this .

Hi Niraj, I don’t think I have understood your question 🙈 If you are asking if we can select certain subjects that we want to get done in one level and then go to the next level then NO that is not possible! You have to do all subjects of a level as is! If you meant can we first do one subject first rather than the order of the paper and break the sequence while solving the paper, yes you can do that!
Hi i have my exams due in August and i ll be appearing for the first time , i want to know do they give any pen and paper for practical sums ? Like just in case you want write the key terms for calculation... So for that do they provide any thing ?
Mam, i'm preparing for cfa L1, Does the question asked in exam is similar to end of Chp & candidate resources questions?? Also mam, if we practice from end of Chp questions, textbook example, & candidate resources questions....is it enough to pass in exam...??
