@@DanielGreeneReviews Her questions were great and it was refreshing to see an author so willing to be vulnerable! It’s this type of content that makes me even more excited for BoP
This interview is amazing. 2 scholars in their field for sure. The level of psychological analysis and fantasy subculture going on is crazy. Puts other interviews to shame. GREAT JOB!
This was a phenomenal interview! I loved your conversation on imposter syndrome and anxiety because really these types of things need to be talked about more. As someone who has both it was such a delight to hear this conversation, and then see that despite it all, Daniel wrote and published a book. It's important to share stories reinforcing that your mental health doesn't define you and you can still live your life to the fullest despite it. Loved all the conversations you had, thank you!
How did this not come up on my recommended before? I had no Idea your channel was linked to booktube, Daniel is one of my favourite youtubers. This is fun, two enfps vibing.
"To go wrong in one's own way is better than to go right in someone else's." Dostoevsky (Crime and punishment). Sorry, because I do not understand the purpose of this vidéo. It is about the book that he wrote or about his life. About the book I am not intersted to read it, it is not about him or he self publishes his book, it is because, for me, reading is more than fun or hobbies, it is about learning your self and the way of thinking of another people. Of course I like Georges Martin, Ken Follet or Michael Crichton, I read some of their books because they are famous but I do not want recommand their books to another person who like reading because it only for the fun. For the people who wants to discover reading, maybe yes, but some of their books are so big, so people may not want to read them, they are afraid of their size. The reason why I take this Dostoevsky quote is: he is the best psychological author ever known until now. If people want to know what is real psychology book: the internal fight inside people they should read of course Dostoevsky, Faulkner (it is hard to read but if you understand, you know that you read something special), Hawthorn, Kafka and my favorites are Jane Austen or the Bronte sisters. Those authors are so good that is why it is difficult to make moovies on their books because their words are so deep so you can not express them on screen, you can only understand them. That is in my opinion on the power of book. Story: many people can do it, but book who teach you or who give you this understanding of life are rare. So sorry, for your book but if it turns on moovie I am the first person who watch it. About his life, I am not intersted to remember it because he is not my friend and I do not want to know about him more. Thanks Michi, you do good job as Jane Austen says: “I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading!" See you next vidéo
I used the book as the starting place for the conversation as he is about to publish it at the end of the month, however, we moreso discussed his personal life because my channel is more about psychology and how people handle these things than what they are doing. Also , thank you for your comment!
@@PsychologyandChillwMichi ok sorry. I like psychological stuff too, that is why I watch your channel. One time you say mbti is not enough for you, there is many other tools that psychologist use like IQ test, or toefl... but the very best way is to talk to people, listen to them, do not judge them but look at the constentency of they say and what they do. "A man should not strive to eliminate his complexes but to get into accord with them: they are legitimately what directs his conduct in the world." Said Freud. Look at the people around you (real person I mean, in real life not virtual) and you will understand more people than psychological book or stuff. I think you know non verbal is the 80% of communication, people forget that, if there is good think in this pandémia, it is: now people understand that meeting people face to face is very important, virtual meeting is like the cave allegory of Plato. Sorry I am not here to teach you something, I like just your happiness. Bye
That's a very Elitist attitude to reading, but you do what you want to do, nobody's stopping you. Of course, if you're not interested in the video you don't have to watch it, there are hundreds of RU-vid channels on the books and authors you love so you can watch about them. Personally, I think you don't have to be Dostoevsky to write an interesting book, and limiting yourself to the wisdom of certain established authors is limiting your wisdom. Reading is more than just gaining knowledge, that’s why I choose to spend my free time reading fiction instead of reading Textbooks. To have limited views is to live a limited life.
@@JerodimusPrime Hi, thanks for your answer and I like the way you think, it is honest and respectful. May I tell you something : You are right when you say very élitist attitude and I am like that. As you say it is my life. Of course, I respect all the people who do not think like me, and I like talking with them because it makes me better. Like you for exemple. You are right when you say you do not have to be Dostoevsky to write good book. Yes, but as you say in sentence before it; there are many youtuber and it is the same too for books and everything, you have many choice. Finally, you are right when you say, our life is limited. It is not limiting my point of view if I choose to read only good book, book to increase my knowledge. Reading takes time and my time, your time, the times of all people are limited that is why you must choose. I watch Michi because I feel that she can help me in my process to reach my goal. I have no problem with people who wants only fun in their lifes. For me, I feel good when there is some chalenges in the thing that I do, and I want to give the best of me in everything that I do. It is my life as you say, and thanks for your words, it helps me to think: there are many intersting people on RU-vid comments. Have a good day
