the collar is in the new 52 and injustice. the suit was made by his mother in the comics originally so i can see how his mom couldve put that together.

It looks like a leather or jeans jacket because of the shoulder blade lines.

It looks like a space uniform instead of a superhero costume. Also, would be weird if they cast a Batman that’s bigger than Superman

It's a bad picture to release as a first introductory taste of the new version of Superman in every aspect possible. The suit will look fine when he is standing up and it isn't displaced as he moves. I can't imagine anyone looking at this pic and saying "yeah, that's it, this is the first introductory image for our Superman." It's the same stuff as that bad picture they released of Ben Affleck as Batman that was constantly made fun of, same thing.. It was purely a bad choice.. BUT it will turn out fine. I think the design is closer to classic Superman and that is a good thing.

this is not a suit, it’s a jacket

I said it elsewhere and I will say it again here. *My issue with this suit is not the design. My issue with this suit is in the creative choice for initial public presentation. This is all about First Impressions.* If you are the studio what you absolutely must not do is present to fans that are already really irritable about the state of Superhero films in general, the outfit of the most iconic superhero of all time in a way that makes them question if you even respect the hero at all. *SUBTEXT IS NOT YOUR FRIEND HERE!* If the fans have to theorize why what they are looking at is not being presented as impressively as possible you have a major problem on your hands. The suit is ill-fitting and covered in soot. There is a cataclysmic chaos event happening in the background and you have Superman looking depressed about putting the suit on to go try to stop the madness. Now if the idea here is as some have speculated is that the Antagonist in the film has engaged Superman multiple times and that he is losing power with each fight which is why the suit looks the way it does, then fine. But the problem with that is *THIS THEORY MAY BE 1000% WRONG!!!* You can't leave such a thing to chance. *FIRST IMPRESSIONS MATTER!!!!* The first time I see this man in the suit he should be, *NO, IT ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO BE AS AWE INSPIRING AS POSSIBLE PER THE MOMENTS IN THE FILM!* Now don't get me wrong, I will be inspired by a Superman that is willing to fight a losing battle, but that is not what we all need to be seeing as the first image out the gate. *THE PEOPLE NEED TO SEE HOPE THE FIRST TIME! THE "LEAVE NO DOUBT" LEVEL OF HOPE!* Sigh,...What an unnecessary ball drop by Gunn and DC Films. Let's now all just hope that the fan theory floating around is indeed correct; because if it is, then we will all be forgiving this picture really really soon.

Henry Cavill suit was a Superman suit, not some half ass cosplay attempt Horrible, and underwear on the outside? The classic Christopher Reeves movies were awesome, and everything were a representation of the time, now no one dresses as they used to back than, so Superman shouldn't be left in the past either. Underwear or trunks or whatever, to me it's just underwear, and looks out of place on the outside

Dont like the suit is horrible and if you notice the new suits color on the legs parts is more lighter blue than the top part . They couldn't even match the color to the bottom part
