impromptu wire stripper 

Put 2 x 4 in a vice. Drill hole diameter of the wire. Screw in a drywall screw with just the tip of the point sticking into a hole. Feed the wire through. the tip of the screw. Will cut the insulation and leave you at the copper wire. But always love your ideas.

Go figure it . The wire must be camera shy.
