For me, it makes sense for a piece that is a little more of a hassle to set each time you want to wear it, ie lots of complications, detailed like moonphase, or maybe a watch that doesn't have quickset date, like Vostok! I was surprised to see improved accuracy, though!

I'm wary of excessive wear to the main spring etc. so best to allow the watch to rest for about 8 hours a day off the winder. This looks great and the ability to chain them is clever.

If you leave it in the winder for 24 hours, on 650 Turns per Day, it's going to wind about 84 minutes over the entire time, and rest the other 22 hours and 36 minutes. Are you saying that you'd like it to wind less than that, so remove it? Yes, the jumper for power is nice. If you add another unit you still only need to occupy one outlet!

@@WatchWitt There seems to be mixed opinions. I would set it up on a power supply time switch to not wind for 8 hours each day (simulating taking the watch off to sleep). The only automatic watch I own that doesn't have a quick set date is my Vostok Amphibia but I get the point about being able to grab and go.

Vostok date complication would definitely be a winner on a winder! Moonphase or multiple calendar complications would also benefit from not starting over each time you go to wear the watch.

One of my favorite watches has a 3 day reserve so basically always is ticking since I wear it at least once during that time so I might as well get a winder for it to keep it on point most of the time
