Hello runners,
Barefoot running is a controversial subject, but experts say doing only a little bit of it each week, can drastically improve your running form.
Good running form leads to better efficiency, which leads to improved running economy (Running economy is the energy cost for a given running speed). So figuring out HOW you run each stride is extremely important.
Now here's the thing: We are all different, and my "perfect" running form is not the same as yours, etc.
So don't copy other people.. it makes no sense and will lead to only short-term change and results. If you're serious about changing your running form for the better, you should simply run a little bit barefoot every week. Running barefoot can be a great teacher for your form. Why? Because you are not biased by any external factors.
When running barefoot, you experience your TRUE running form.
Please don't overdo it, running barefoot puts a lot of stress on your feet ankles and calves, only do it progressively and on a soft and clear surface.
