I'm old school, 1/2 self taught & 1/2 school ( music class was my best class while attending school) marching band etc. As time progressed (aged) I laid my sticks down, as a result I got rusty ☹️. On line pointed out sticking patterns I was performing but couldn't verbalize. U have unique way of teaching. You're thorough in explanation ( fingers and wrist) tricks of the trade, if you will. Thumbs up to you bruh bruh, I'm feeling you so much so my drumming, single and double stroke roll have improved greatly bruh. I always wonder how to get smooth with my singles, doubles, and triples.
Great lesson. You're the first teacher I've seen to mention the idea of "burning out"! Yes! Almost no one else mentions this approach yet it is absolutely vital in increasing endurance, power, and volume. I stumbled upon this approach on my own and it has been hugely beneficial to go all out as loud and as fast possible while retaining loose grip. Subscribed!
Practicing inverted doubles is what helped me to learn to accent the second note of the doubles. I spent a couple months practicing my doubles and they are way more smooth now.
