Quite by accident I started using a braided thread and it doesn't cut into the worm as badly as regular thread. I think it is actually intended for tying rod guides to rods.
Bear Ridge Runner6693 trying to fish it more. I have a few other confidence flies I rely on heavily and just don't put this on but I know it's a killer.
Just found this stuff tied a couple like you would a San Juan worm. But seemed when I tied in front it would cause the plastic to fold back. But this was good info. Thanks. Looks like a near where I live in Missouri.
Jack, I lock down the beads on all my bead head flies by wrapping in front to back, repeat for years. Never had the thread on the bead wear or break. Unless you are dragging your flies on rocks on bottom all the time, it is durable.
Agreed. You can just thread the thing on a hook like a garden worm the same way you did as a kid. It's not a fly, but it is an artificial bait if thats a restriction. It seems to work best that way. "Gentlemen, we are in danger of needlessly overcomplicating this job".
