James I can understand why you would want the Coke bezel...it's my favorite color combo and thanks to you, I'm stalking it too now! Lol. I have seen red bezels fade to a pinkish color, but it looks pretty cool.

Jeffrey, it's a comfy one too! I'm wearing it as I reply to you. I don't think you'll regret it and there are some good second hand prices as well. Plus it lets you wait for a model that has an aligned chapter ring, 12 o'clock marker, and bezel pip.

lol....I'm glad you enjoy the channel! I think I prefer this one over the SKX because of the case style of the turtle. It has a vintage look, but they are certainly similar. I also prefer the hand wind capable movement in this one.

Thanks Brain, I don't there is too much of a mismatch in the finishes actually. They both have dual finish surfaces (polished and brushed) and I think they look pretty good. The directions of brushing isn't identical from case to bracelet, but that's the only subjective flaw I can see at the moment.

It is 44mm, but it's that shorter lug to lug that keeps it so wearable. With a wrist a half inch larger than mine, you would def. be good. I'm so glad my chapter ring is good!

It's funny because it's the more vintage style case that attracted me to this one. well that, and i'm really a sucker for a nice blue dial.

Thanks Jason! It is indeed a pin and collar system. Push pins or screws would have been much easier. Having said that, it's not as hard as some folks make it out to be. If you have two tools with push pin ends (not the small fork, but just the straight metal end), then you can push them against each other on both ends of the link to snap the collar over the pin.

Reto, those little bracelet collars are NO JOKE! I may have made up some new curse words working with them. I was eventually able to find a method that worked for me and it also helped my blood pressure come back down. Lol. I think I might make a clip with my method.

Looks great. From the video it looks like the seconds hand is polished metal. Looks really nice!

+TheStig ZeroZeroZero it is actually. From the that center pinion it sits on, half is polished and the other half with the lollipop end is a black finish.

Just beautiful. Really makes it look like a special watch. I wish my SKX had a polished seconds hand!

Ah yes, so what I found a method that actually works really well. You want to make sure you note exactly how the pin and collars come out of the bracelet so you can put them in the right way. You also want to work on a flat hard surface (I used my kitchen counter). Once you have the links you want out, put the collar and pin back in the links and turn the bracelet on its side so that the side with the collar is against the hard surface. Then you want to use something with a thin point to push the pin in towards the collar until it clicks into place. I found this pretty easy once I figured it out! I hope this helps.

did u use any tool to remove and reattach the pins?thank you for the detailed advice CG..ur the best!p.s. ive just ordered the 0.8mm as well as the 1.0mm push pin tools from ebay.hope that one of them is the right size.i understand that if its too big and the tool cant go through the link hole.and too small and the tool will go through the collar..hmmm

Jason de Souza I used a push pin tool to remove them and to put them back. I think one of those will work for sure! Don't worry about it being to small, when you put the pins back, you will be pushing on the end with the pin and the side of the bracelet with the collar will be against the hard surface which will hold it in place while you push the the pin into place with the push pin tool. I had a small jewelers hammer I used to tap the pin into the collar.

I can understand being a purist, particularly with all the references. It's obviously not like the originals, but the modern references.

lol...I did think the crown thing was a bit odd, but hey, to each their own. This isn't a hokey puck, it's a turtle ;-) I prefer this vintage style to the case of the SKX and I like the dial better as well...it's probably the blue. It does wear smaller with the shorter lug to lug.

OMG, you just gave me a brilliant idea! Do like Bruce Williams did with Wrist Candy and get them make a NATO strap in green with four leaf clovers, leprechauns, and bottles of Irish whiskey. Then mod that bad boy with a dial like you mentioned, and call it the PADI Green Crystal. Sometimes I just amaze myself. ;-)
