I am using the Sonet with IMT gear box for past 15 months, its really convenient for traffic situations... And we have all the control on the gearing like the manual gearbox.. Very useful technology!

@@mejoe66 there is no Manual gearbox in the turbo petrol engine for sonet, so could not compare.. however with moderate driving speed I'm getting around 16 kmpl in highway + city roads combined.. Sometimes with cruise control set to 80 km/hr in highways i have got close to 20 kmpl..

1.5 years I’m using Venue iMT 1 litre turbo. No issues so far. Also hill hold assist not required in ramp and you can switch your foot to gas pedal within a second. Within 1 inch fall back we can move forward in ramps.

One more point to add. iMT cost is lesser than DCT. Few months back I have taken Venue SX DCT because last 6 years I have driven only automatic cars. But in this process I have compromised little bit on safety. Since iMT cost lesser, Hyundai providing 6 Airbags in iMT Venu, DCT engine is costly so it comes with only 2 Airbags.

I would say ...clutching during gears is a kind of exercise.😁 I cannot imagine my freestyle without a clutch with that 1.5 tdci . "Clutch " brings the difference between drivers and "real " drivers .

Yes mileage is low in IMT than compared to manual. My friend has a i20 manual base variant. He said in highway he got around 19-20. Where as with IMT I got maximum 16.5 when driving in the range of 80-100km/hr. In city I got around 8-12 based on traffic. Choose IMT if you prefer convenience over mileage. Just like automatic even in bumper to bumper traffic you will not feel any tension with IMT.

As explained and demonstrated in the video yes it does move down in slopes even with creep function. That's why you should use hand break which will prevent the vehicle from rolling down 💚

Even in manual passenger will be able to change gear which causes both damage to gear box and vehicle stalling as clutch is not pressed. Atleast in iMT there won't be much issue in this scenario.
