If done properly, Oda could build up Imu to be a conceptually Terrifying villian. We have already seen Enel and he was supposedly just a microcosm of what Imu is going to be and that is a very exciting idea if executed properly
@@FlappyCat-ef6oqif you mean the massive jump In competition and the failure to execute then yeah my hopes for a truly tense and terrifying final villain aren’t the highest. I hope oda proves me wrong
I'm glad someone else is thinking this too. I suggested on stream that Enel's face could be foreshadowing Im's eventual reaction to being countered by Luffy, and Morj disagreed.
The thing I love the most about Imu so far is that despite being the most powerful person on the planet, he also seems to be the least free. Have you ever thought about that?
Well, not really. He's far more free than any of the Celestial Dragons' slaves for example. He just can't publicly proclaim himself the supreme ruler. Nobody even knows who he is, so it's not like he'd be recognized if he went outside. And he can order anything he wants to be done.
I mean is he though? From what we've seen the man lives in a dark lonely room with a big chair and bigger hat only ever occasionally being visited by some old dudes with swords. At least the slaves get to see the sun.
@@clintgahm1495 the main difference is it's self imposed vs involuntary Imu COULD leave if they wanted to but apparently don't The mermaids in Charloss's dungeon don't have that option
hohoooooo i like this, interesting idea. could be that with his powers and ideals he has no internal freedom maybe? perhaps tied to his status and beliefes, he has no freedom of the mind
@@arbsb6952 I meant relative to his status. Slaves hold no power, rights or freedom in the first place. They are all the same, no exception. Imu is the single most powerful person in the world. He has the entire WORLD in his grasp. But he doesn't flaunt it. He almost never uses his power when he could, and he stays hidden in his palace all the time. It feels like he is confining himself to keep the facade of the World Government.
What if Imu has the opposite of the God Fruit, the 'Devil Fruit'. It will be ironic since all fruits are called as 'devil fruits' but Imu might have the actual 'Devil Fruit'. Imu having the God fruit feels kinda off, because if Imu is a god, why can't he just kill Luffy straight away with a snap of a finger since he's god himself. But if he has the actual Devil fruit...well, the devil can't touch god in all religions which might explain why Imu couldn't do anything to Luffy since he's God Nika.
This Is Oda, it's going to be some form of pun or joke. Imu either has the true Gomu Gomu no Mi or the Keshi Keshi no Mi. Keshigomu is the Japanese word for eraser and literally means "erase rubber". It fits what power we have seen from Imu. This also allows a final fight where the characters yell keshi and gomu back and forth, or they both yell gomu at each other. It also thematically fits with Luffy now having a "creation" like ability (as seen with him making goggles out of his hair) to oppose Imu's destruction ability.
Definitely option 4. Any other comparisons to Enel become irrelevant if Luffy isn't the perfect counter to Im too, and the fact Luffy's abilities changed now means we can get another match up using the same concept of a natural enemy but still making it an original thing. I don't know if it'll be "reality warping", it's very likely that it'll be something specifically created by Oda like the Nika fruit so we wouldn't be able to guess anyway. But the fact that Im crosses off the island on the map with a brush might be a reference to the classic Looney Tunes episode Rabbit Rampage where the animator actually gets the better of Bugs Bunny, which would corroborate the "reality warping" powers theory.
So what you're saying is that Im's ability is to rule the world, but Luffy is a heavenly beating, thus unaffected by worldly dominion This is just the plot of Fate CCC and I love it
We can think of Luffy as the natural enemy to Blackbeard: both are D., but totally opposites. Blackbeard represents the darkness, while Luffy is the sun. Blackbeard can make Quakes, Luffy can turn the surrounding into Rubber. (Mais uma vez dois brasileiros interagindo em inglês em canais gringos hahaha)
I hope Imu has a unique personality. Like maybe a split personality like calm/psychotic serial killer vibes. I'm more interested in his/her character than the powers
From what we/I see, i think it's exactly as you think, Mood Swinging Between Calmness and Violent Psychopathic Wrath just like the Sea at the Outside look calm But Truly Unpredictable Dangerous....
I ve always thought the ALL BLUE story alongside the Sake no binks song are the main keys for the mysteries left. Probably the only remants of story from the void century. Before the RED LINE was even there, maybe IMU can manipulate reality on a map, cant kill directly but it can obliterate a whole island by just drawing a cross on a world map and why there was a mythic ALL SEA , cause there was one.
Personally I don't think having Imu be just a reality warper works because it doesn't explain why anything would ever NOT go exactly according to their plan I think total control of the laws of physics would make more sense
Might be some sort of Reality Wraping but not fully, it have to be that as in counter perfectly to Luffy's Power of Imagination that affects everything around, as they're the Very One who created this Dark World System Order defines All the Rules in the first place, the Battle of Sort of Reality Wraping Gods I like to see.
@@torus9657 hmmm. If kingdoms are wiped out by Imu controlling someone else to do it, that could make sense. I'd need to see what specifically is being controlled if not free will.
In Egyptian Mythology, Medjed the Smiter Deity is the One Commands the Nile Flooding God, and he have this Eye Beams Laser Beams Destruction Powers like how Imu did through the Super-Weapon and the whole World of One Piece is Full of Sea so......
Imu having an Author/Artist/Mangaka type of devil fruit would be especially fitting, considering the occasional moment in cartoons where the characters actually interact with their animators.
Having heard the fourth option, and knowing what we now know about Nika, I think if Imu does have a DF it could very easily be the control fruit. Where Luffy has a fruit that allows him to be as free as his imagination can conceptualise, Imu has a fruit that allows them to subjugate in any way their imagination can conceptualise. The matchup would actually be something interesting rather than having the same outcome as Enel just being hard countered by Luffy's rubber body. Powers like this already have basis in the story, with Breed's fruit and to an extent Law's fruit being examples.
The reality warping makes me wonder about the act of crossing Lulusia Kingdom off the map, resulting in its destruction. If that is the case, we also see Imu with photographs/drawings of Luffy, Blackbeard, Shirahoshi, and Vivi. Three of them were cut up and/or torn apart. Why would Imu not simply "cross out" those people that are threatening if that's the way it works?
Maybe that's what he was trying to do. Crossed them out, didn't work, cut them up, didn't work, burnt them to ash, didn't work.🤔 Perhaps since luffy's awakening his powers have somewhat diminished?
So consider from the pictures that was cut, implied that Luffy gonna lost his left eye and have no Strawhat anymore, Blackbeard his right eye, and Shirahoshi also have some damage on her left eye or lost it too.... This is fking Dark...
I like all these options, but as an alternate god suggestion for option 2, how about the Moon God fruit? The moon, the controller of the tides and seas. If awakened as we currently speculate, could create the calm belt, making reaching Laughtale all more difficult. And thematic opposite of the sun, reigns over the night. Enemy of the dawn as the sun make it hard to see the moon during the day. And the moon is tied to the mysteries of the ancient weapons and Enel's trip.
I definitely think this makes sense, except for one issue: there's been many references to moons as being good things, like all of the names of the daimyo contain the character for moon, except for kurozumi which doesn't. this, along with certain lines here and there (like benn beckman being referred to as the moon to Shanks' sun), seems to present the moon as a good thing, not a bad thing, and so Imu having the moon fruit doesn't seem to line up
What if IMU is actually Nika. Not a DF user, but the actual Nika. Nika being the "Sun" god, the gorosei being named after planets, planets revolve around the sun, the gorosei revolve around IMU. Also why he wanted the Nika fruit, not for himself but to stop anyone else having his power. Which would be why he's a stronger reality warper, being the original not a copy from people's imagination. Joy boy was the first Nika user but lost to the real thing, but was still to close for IMU to risk happening again. And who knows, perhaps some of IMU's own power is actually trapped inside the Nika fruit, which could be another reason for him wanting it.
cool theoryyyy! but i think imus being set up as the moon for the sun to take over more than anything, the dawn thing kind of doesn't work the same if they're both symbolic of the sun. even in design the straw hat seems shaped like a rising sun and imus whole design is dark and nightlike
it would conflict with the theme of the Thousand Sunny traversing the equator and bringing the dawn after 800 years of night. But i still upvoted for effort.
I like the last idea the most, not sure how would it work but it would be the most interesting one to see, and that would also explain why the WG was trying to get Luffy's fruit for so long, because they know it can counter Imu's power.
My favorite one is the last one because it also explains why the world government fears the Nika fruit specifically. They’re not hunting down the magma fruit or dragon fruit or earthquake fruit in the same ways, despite them being insanely powerful fruits which should in theory allow someone to oppose the WG and free people just the same. If Nika is the only being unaffected by Imu then obviously they need to keep that fruit out of anyone’s hands above any other fruit.
What if it’s like chainsaw man, and Im has the control devil fruit. Lucy is the one who can resist him the most because he is the embodiment of freedom. I think this keeps the idea of him being “God’s natural enemy” consistent because it is something that is born from who he is as a person and not just his devil fruit.
I was thinking something similar The opposite of freedom, control Maybe something to do with a moon even maybe “controls tides” Or maybe something like “writing” cause that’s what he kinda did lol he crossed off an island
@@fredericohartmann8882 , I’ve always said that Skypiea is the best and perfect One Piece Arc even before Wano turned into a D minus ➖ Arc in the tier list of One Piece Arcs even before I first got into One Piece.
@@fredericohartmann8882, Skypeia isn't even close to the best arc. Being a contarian isn't fancy. There's a reason nobody cared for it until other arcs made it relevant again. The "best arc" is entertaining and fulfilling enough to be liked on its own. Not a boring arc like Skypeia whose only "appeal" is subtle references.
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr, Skypeia was objectively mediocre by entertainment standards (hardly anyone liked it). The "best arc" would be liked without needing other arcs to make it relevant in hindsight. Stop the mental gymnastics.
here's the primary issue with the imu having the ocean logia theory: imu is not umi backwards. that's solely a thing from the english translation: imu is 2 characters, that would be pronounced 'i' and 'mu' so backwards, that would be 'mui' not 'umi'. the actual characters involved in imu's name do mean something interesting, but not reversed. instead, if you put them together, it means buddha... aka the only foe to ever beat sun wukong
The last option seems like such a spot on read if Oda plans to mirror the Luffy vs Imu fight with the Enel fight. Would almost bet on it, nice video prediction!
I think there is one thing people often doesn't take into account when talking about Imu. And that is, that he is in hiding. Why would he have to hide, if he is completely unstoppable like Enel? I for one wouldn't be surprised if Imu loses as soon as people learn about him and that Black Beard is the true final boss.
My only guess is Imu only recently regained their strength. The government got whatever they needed out of Jewelrey Bonney and Imu is suddenly active again for the first time since God Valley. Even though Bonney's abilities are normally temporary I think they found a way to deage Imu and the Gorosei will get the same treatment.
Why would he rule the world openly, when he/she can save themself a lot of stress / nerves and effort by ruling from behind the curtains? Imu has the chillest life right now, playing with butterflies and cutting up wanted-posters~ But when it comes to an encounter - why would he/she not have god-like powers to flex?
What if Imu is from the moon, saw Enel up there and went and made him his slave. That is how he powered his weapon. Enel would then come back to the story not as a God but a slave to a real "God".
My guess would be that it'd be Subjugation vs Freedom. Imu has a paramecia that forces obedience in some way, which when awakened extended that control to reality itself, in the same way that Luffy's gave his body the freedom to take any shape he desired, and to give that freedom to others, ultimately awakening to bringing that freedom to the world itself.
More specifically, i think it has to do with information. Imu is hiding, he erased Lulusia from history, and he erased the void century. Part of Enel's strength was mind-reading. And I've had a longstanding theory that the one piece is a political document.
It probably would suit Im better to instead wield the power of the Human Human Fruit: Mother Earth Model. This grants Im the full power and command over the world including its oceans, and could thus explain why Devil Fruit users aren't able to swim without exactly having the power to cancel said Devil Fruit users out. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if the reason this power is always on is because it requires that Im remains at the Red Sea, thus connecting him to all the world's oceans as it were at all times. Thus, the inability to swim is always activated. Similar to how Crocodile was able to cause an eternal drought in Alabassa simply by being there. This also grants Im all sorts of crazy powers that can act as a counter. And finally, it keeps the theming up involving the Ancient Weapons, the Gorosei, and presumably Luffy and Blackbeard representing the Sun and Moon respectively. As that way, all 11 celestrial bodies are represented in some way. That, and said celestrial bodies are named after gods except the Sun and Moon, who instead have their own built-in gods named after them (Nika and someone else).
As an aside, I'd imagine a Devil Fruit based directly after The One True God, AKA, Yaweh, AKA, Jehova, would be extremely controversial. And this is coming from an especially aloof Christian that normally wouldn't care less. There's a reason Buddha was the only real world religious figure to have been made into a Devil Fruit thus far.

I like the Water DF user idea because I think "Water" Is a wider concept than any other Logia we saw. I think saying Logia represent an element Is not totally accurate. Logia represent the concept of an element: like Dark doesn't generate gravity. It doesn't stop Devil fruits to work. THE CONCEPT OF DARK (as a force that represent black holes) give the Yami Yami fruit the Power of a black hole. Sand doesn't actually suck the moist by contact. Yet Sand and deserts are associated with dehydration. So the Suna Suna fruit works like that. Now think of the concept of water: Water Is in everything. Water means Life. Water means not Just liquid water, but also ice and vapor, because ICE (as a concept) Is just Solid Water. Comets, for example, are Just giant blocks of ICE that travel in Deep space. Not Just that but, in a world that for the 90% Is filled by Water, what do you think would happen if someone could Actually control all the water? We don't cannonically know what an awakening of a Logia does yet. BUT we saw what 2 top logia fighter did to an Island while using their ability. Now what if that Power could be used in a larger scale. Because, in THAT book, there was a moment when a god decided to wipe out everything and Just save some few selected humans (and a couple for every animals). And he used Water to do that. And there was also an arc. Noah's arc. And If you think about It, if someone built a boat like that to escape god's judgement.... Wouldn't he be the ultimate pirate?
Maybe Im's ability is a "Void Void Fruit", the absolute negation/destruction of anything to nothing. Counter to that could be Luffy's ability of imagination, allowing creation from nothing, expressed through the Nika fruit. Maybe the "Void Void Fruit" can void out inanimate things too, like erasing the history itself of the "Void" century. We know Kuma can make memories physical, maybe even souls? Im could take this one step further and completely erase the intangible and tangible alike.
i have always believe in option b, it just ties so many concepts and themes in the story, in the end the most formidable enemy of a pirate has always been the sea itself
Enel was a “god” with a fruit as potentially destructive as akainu while not even being whitebeard level and introduced early in the story. The powercreep isn’t that severe as those you listed considering WBs feats

An OCEAN-Devil-Fruit had been my biggest guess as well for a very long time. Great Video and lot's of Respect for going over points in such a reasonable manner.
certain binaries that I can see between Luffy and Imu Luffy Sun God - Imu Moon God (Moon controls the ocean/tides and is in the night sky before the dawn) Luffy creation (goggles etc.) - Imu destruction (island etc.) Luffy freedom - Imu control Luffy hope - Imu fear feels to me like whoever wins is whoever is believed to be more powerful by the people of One Piece. And through that collective belief, is more powerful
I think a continent logia makes more sence than a ocean one. 1st: redline! 2nd: opposite of umi 3rd: ocean>pirates>freedom vs land>kingdoms/wg>surpression/repression 4th: water cancels out df, so there hardly are any directly water based abilities (i can only think of smoothies)
After watching this and Artur’s video from last week, I bet Imu’s ability won’t be a devil fruit. There have always been theories about “we have devil fruits why no angel fruits”. I bet there are 6 bestowed by the earth to Imu and the five elders. While the devil fruits are products of the original Joyboy and the ancient kingdom
Exactly what I think. Imu and/or the elders abilities might not even be derived from any manner of fruit, per se. What if Imu assimilated the supreme ‘godly’ powers of the ancient kingdom directly upon usurping it, Blackbeard style? And the creation of devil fruits was an unexpected side effect when all of the rest of the kingdom’s uncaptured power leaked out?
IMO the ability of Imu is a mangaka devil fruit and could erase things on the map like Paravision mentioned. cartoon Luffy vs the guy that is supposed to be writing reality
I feel like no one is mentioning the fact that option C could actually be an explanation for God Valley disappearing. Feels quite fitting in a sense, the God Fruit to destroy God's Valley.
Yor Imu/god fruit theory firs another theory about Imu that I have. I think Imu represents the concept Dark Sun, a false god, a Demiurge. Let me explain: I believe that while Luffy represents the Sun/freedom and Blackbeard Darkness/chaos/entropy, Imu, along side Father from FMA, represents in some ways the symbols of the Dark Sun. Now the Dark Sun represents a lot of things depending on who you ask but in this case I'll focus on the following three: One) In some cases the Dark sun represents a bastardizing or dark reflection of the qualities of the Sun. To put it simply the sun represents life, natural order or in other words moral order, people living and letting others live. This in a way is represented in Luffy, who wants to be the most free man in the sea, sets free islands/nation that lived under authoritarian regimes, has the powers of the sun god nika and has a straw hat that looks like the sun. The Dark Sun, Imu, represents a twisted artificial version of order and a bastardization of life. Instead of an order maintain by morality/people living in harmony by choice he creates an order maintained by authoritarianism and violence, in other words a false artificial/man made "order" design and envisioned by him. Second) the Dark Sun represents what one would call the hidden hand or the power behind the throne that actually controls all from the shadows. While the archetypal good king (that wears a crown representing the sun and it's rays, or in this case a straw hat) leads his people in the open, maintains peace and harmony and is the embodiment of Morality, a dark/hidden ruler, like Imu, or Father in FMA, keeps her/himself in the shadows controling everything behind the scenes since he/she would know that in order to effectively control a population the last thing you would want is for everyone to know your face and thus the type of person you are in case they don't want to be ruled by you any longer. Better to have a front man or a bunch of somewhat benevolent kings that are easy to manipulate or take out and have the people focus on them. If they f'ck up, like Doflamingo or that guy from Drum Island, all you have to do is replace them with someone more likeable and the people will be content and non the wiser. And third) in a way it represents the attempt of becoming some type of artificial/substitute god figure, like the gnostic Demiurge, that replaces the idea of a universal life giving unseen God due to seeing themselves as a god, as a superior being or in other words: having a huge god complex. Both Imu and Father keep themselves hidden from the world. This is to give themselves a sense of separation from the rest of humanity and increases their sense of superiority/godhood and since they are unseen when controling the rest of the nation/world it makes them feel like the unseen but ever present god that controls everything. The quote that extenuates all this factors is the one Father says when he's about to absorb "God" in the series climax: "I will no longer be bound to you and your consequences" This means that he, and probably Imu as well, doesn't want to be bound and limited to the Natural/Universal/Moral Laws of life, of the universe. He sees himself as superior to all life and thus belives that he should be the one to decide the laws everyone obeys, the laws that control life, the laws theat decide what is Moral and immoral. He wants to be god and thus desires to eliminate the real God/the Truth/Morality, or in he's case absorbe Him, and become/substitute Him as a new false god.

While i like the Imu-Umi connection, it's been pointed out that that only works in english, and in the original Japanese, it wouldn't read like that if reversed. Oda does like to use English though, and English is seemingly the official language of the One Piece world, so its not totally out of the question
I'll always thought Imu would have an ability that would allow them to force their will upon others, to control them and truly take their freedom away in a similar manner as The Purple Man from Marvel. It makes sense since Luffy and one of the series entire themes is freedom, which would make Imu Luffy's natural counterpart in this sense. If Blackbeard is the darkness to Luffy's light than Imu would represent the order to Luffy's freedom. Furthermore, Luffy's mastery of conquerors haki and his uncontrollable will could prove to be the counter to this ability like how his devil fruit was the counter to Enel's, especially since the second half of One Piece has been heavily haki focused and even Kaido may have foreshadowed this when he claimed only through Haki can one rule the seas.
Those who questions how Vegapunk got dna of Schibukai. Since Schibukai went to govt multiple times for meeting or other reasons. They definitely peed in their bathroom. Now you have answer.
OH WE COOKING HERE! We got Morj to seeee the VISION Let's GOOOO, i got soooo many ideas flying out around IM, i think were getting close on my channel! thanks for the shout out Morj
My thing is, if the theory of Imu being some sort of representation of the sea (Umi) is true, and the sea despises devil fruits to the point that fruit users can't swim, why would Imu have a devil fruit at all? It doesn't make sense for them to have a devil fruit power, if they despise devil fruits. I think Imu has control of the secret weapon Uranus, and that they are a sort of "false god" co-opting the godlike strength of this weapon. Or, as a manifestation of the will of the ocean, they have some kind of divine power which does NOT derive from devil fruits -- a natural power of some sort.
I just had an incredible idea: Marx mentioned once: an idea that possesses the masses of people becomes a material force. It's exactly what Oda meant with devil fruits!!! Vegapunk said "dreams". But god isn't a dream. It's an idea. Idea that possessed the most of the people on the planet AND became a material force. In the real world we started wars, we kill people cause of the idea of a god. HOLY SHIT, ODA! You made it once again to surprise me. And now ultimatively!!!!!!!!
Ever since the introduction of Hito Hito no Mi models Buddha and now Nika, i always thought it'd be funny and cool to see some more real world gods appear. Everyone gangsta until Hito Hito no Mi model YHWH shows up
Imu Themself, YHWH/Demiurge the God King of the World, Who Created/Separated Both the Light and Darkness themselves, i.e. Holding Greater Power Above Over Both.
I personally like the idea most that Imu has an Earth Earth Fruit. With that, i personally believe them to be a she, she could have build the Red Line themselves and structure the One Piece world with its Islands how she invisioned. With that Control is way easier since communication between islands is harder, etc. The sea currents could probably be explained by that aswell. The Castle is called Pangae like super continent from the dinsaur time, so a refference to how the One Piece World was once united? And it wouldnt be contradictory with the whole idea of water being the weakness of DFs. And the naming of IMU, backwards UMI = Sea, is one purpose since the opposite/reverse to the sea is the earth.
Germa 66 fights a hero in the comic that can run above water. Oceanfruit seems to be plausible. Aaand Grandline as a sea with all its strange behavior is pretty much confirmed just the King of the Sea trying to stop adventurers from achieving the last island. I could imagine that Grandline didn't exist before the void century.
Let's say IMU does have the water water fruit. I have a theory that the awakened version could possibly control the water in a person's body. That in and of itself is a formidable thing to think about. Especially since Crocodile has displayed a similar technique on Luffy and it nearly killed him.
In Egyptian Mythology, Medjed the Smiter Deity is the One Commands the Nile Flooding God, and he have this Eye Beams Laser Beams Destruction Powers like how Imu did through the Super-Weapon and the whole World of One Piece is Full of Sea so......
I just realised something... or, at least, it crossed my mind. As crazy as it may seem, it has to do with a power that can strike from afar. That is why I think it might fit here, because the weapon by the name of Uranus mentioned in this video can do just that. Remember how Red Shanks cut in with his Haki to prevent Admiral Green Bull from attacking Raizo and Shinobu with his Mori Mori no mi debvil fruit power? Shanks was rather far away - and yet, he was able to thwart Green Bull's attack. So - Even if it would come as a shock, what if Imu and Shanks were somehow related to eachother? At a first glance, such an assumption might appear absurd and speculative, but since these characters seemingly keep such a low profile and can use their powers over a longer distance, it may not be totally erroneous...
it would be very interesting if imu’s beam that destroyed wasnt a beam of light from uranus, it was water. and instead of the “beam” coming from above it came from below the sea 😳
Ever since I‘ve seen the way lulusia was destroyed I couldn‘t stop thinking about Enel. Devil Fruits sometimes come in pairs with one being the stronger version of the other. Examples are: Magma-Fruit > Fire-Fruit, Ice-Fruit > Snow-Fruit, Mr. 1‘s Blade-Fruit < Baby 5‘s Weapon-Fruit and so on. I think that a properly trained Enel with good haki is easily high yonko level thanks to his immense offensive power. I don‘t think that armorment haki could block 100.000+ Volt attacks or that non-teleporting characters could dodge island-scale, lightning-fast attacks. So if Imu posessed the stronger version of Enels Fruit, he could parallel the false god we had on skypea
Seeing as One Piece is a very Japanese work the big powers would end at time and space. Powers passed that like chaos or creation seem to be in the realms of devil fruit awakening and haki. We've dealt with some time based fruits before but the big ones are the logias of time and space. Salt would also be an interesting one as you might also be able to control the oceans with it.
really cool theory man as always but there's something in the last one which I prefer over all but if Ym is a reality warper that could forever shadow Vivi's death in some way ( or Shiraoshi has one of them too has their wanted poster either pierced by a blad or tornt to pieces) but I really hope it's one of these cause the parallel with how Luffy's defeated Ener but in G5 in some ways of upgrade of the scenario would fit pretty well imho cannot wait for the next theory !!
Also I think it is important to point out that imu uses a map for their ability. So maybe nami with her map drawing skills will become important in the last showdown.
When talking about Imu crossing off the kingdom of the map nobody questions the map itself. Would Imu have the world map that Nami wishes to create already? It seems like a no brainer to have it based on his power.
these ideas somehow really make senses, the idea about water devil fruit, we all have seen many kind of logia fruit, almost all type of basic element, but never a fruit that represent water or control water, the idea about god fruit that can warp reality is also make sense, since it could be skypea2.0 in larger scale and luffy being the only one natural enemy,
Im having the God fruit would be terrifying He'd have the 3 Omni's Omnipotence - All powerful Omniscient - All Knowing Omnipresent - Everywhere present. Dude could teleport anywhere and do anything. Curious to see how Oda would write Luffy to beat that. At least luffy can now at least do anything like the God fruit would be able to.
Im being the consumer of the god fruit, as opposed to everybody else in the one piece world consuming devil fruits, would be one of the coolest things ever.
Something i like about this and i am surprised morj did not make the connection is the same way that imu reigns supreme and nobody can beat him but luffy is the same thing for mihawk nobody can beat him but zoro and that means luffy as well because mihawk is his weakness
Maybe another option, either a mythical zoan or special logia that is Mother Nature/Mother Earth itself. Could have the ability to possibly produce devil fruits like the admirals logias and explain why they have them at the ready once a new admiral comes along. The idea at least being they are but children in comparison to mother of all their abilities. Could find a way to make that tie into some iteration of your final theory with reality manipulation and make it something more tangible.
I have a theory. As oda has said that luffy’s devil fruit ability is doing anything luffy can imagine and I think Sun Nika back in the ancient kingdom was the God of devil fruit and I think Imu was the one that has cursed the devil fruit and every user to not being able to swim in the sea.
I think that shanks knows the truth . Garp and Roger took down Xebec on God’s Valley. Even though it was never really talked about because the Marines were ashamed of working with pirates, maybe they formed a secret pact to stop anyone from trying to take Imu’s throne and that’s why Shanks is meeting with the Goresei because history is repeating itself with Blackbeard. Personally, I hope in the end Luffy and Koby are going to be the ones to take him down together.
Devil fruits are dreams that’ve awakened. The embodiment of ones dream that has reached its maximum capacity turns said dream into a physical object known as devil fruits. The adam tree most likely acts as a devil fruit dream generator that pops out the dreams of people in the OP verse. When the dream gets to a 100% limit only then will the seed be created Thats how i see it at least.
I actually think they can imagine these mythical creatures cause they did exist at some point, which was hinted with Dragons. There is nothing new under the sun as they say.
lighting is to rubber as ______ is to freedom. Looking up antonyms some good candidates are: impotence, subjection, repression, suppression, confinement, and internment All of these make me think of the Anti-spiral ruler from Gurren Laggan and would be kinda funny since Oda is all about spiral power and even signs his name with a spiral 'O'. If it was one of these concepts then I could see the fruit being related to Hina's Bind-Bind fruit but an upgraded version that can effect people's will. Effectively suppressing their spirit. Or making them frozen in fear; impotence. I have been thinking about the idea of a fear fear-fruit or phobia-phobia, but I think an Ussop-like character could counter it. The way he did with the Horo-Horo depression fruit. The god Phobos (god of fear) has some parallels to Imu as well in his limited history. He is said to have bat wings and accept offerings during times of war for protection. The World Government uses bats to deliver their mail (ie. just like morgan is a bird controlling birds, there should be a bat controlling bats) and they also accept tribute in exchange for protection or arms. Not to mention it would be possible to use echolocation for long range scouting purposes or even fly large distances via the redline's height. Imu could be wrapping bat wings around themselves as well (double jointed arm theory from Ohara. Also chapter 14 cover page) in the few panels we have seen. Not to mention bat wings are seen in many manga panels going all the way back to the cover page of chapter 14. There have also been many bat characters such as batman from drum island and hildon from thriller bark. There is also "Weekly Shonen Jump #2287 - No. 47 November 3, 2014 (Issue)" The cover is literally chopper the human fruit eater as a bat. A man bat yet again, and another black cloak just like chapter 14's cover page. Fear is a good candidate, Luffy is said to be fearless and Ussop's whole journey is conquering his fears. I think it would be a good payoff for Ussop's character growth (I believe Ussop must do something heroic and great before he returns to kaya and tells his stories) and could prove to be a parallel to Dressrosa by having him snipe Imu to save the world.
16:14 I like that theory the most. Perhaps Im can use this ability to not only wipe islands off the map but make them disappear from history. Lulusia *never* existed. So the history is dead because it’s forgotten. This could explain the void century. Like the Gorosei said, what light should be extinguished? If Im has the ability to manipulate history or the memory of the world, it’s possible.
the last option really plays into the top of the world goverment role in every way , since no one knows he even existed in the first place , because ofc he erased all traces or memories of him , which plays into the role of reality warping , which probably plays into multiple possibilitys aswell which could be the reason why all memories etc of the rocks pirates got erased , could be aswell his fault erasing stuff until it fits into the picture
The problem is, the people of the island SAW something huge in the sky. It had to be something as in an object, a huge vessel that roams anove the clouds of the world.
If you are right on this one, and generally, I follow your channel because you are very good at pointing good hints, I truly can't wait to see a macth Luffy vs Im, Cartoon warper vs Reality warper. Seems like once of the best fights in manga history ever.
Reality warping and Hito Hito no Mi Model: God make the most sense to me. Personally, I believe Uranus isn't a weapon that bestows physical power, but information - especially if we go based off of the the idea that the Ancient Weapons correlate to the three types of Haki (Poseidon and Pluton roughly correspond to Conqueror's Haki and Armament Haki, so why not have Uranus correspond to Observation Haki?). Not only that, but if we're going based off of the idea that Imu is the literal, capital G God of the One Piece world, it only makes sense for him to have nigh omniscience. The Judeochristian God is known for three things - being all knowing, being all powerful, and being omnipresent. Perhaps Imu's Devil Fruit/Haki/whatever give him power befitting of someone with the title of God, and Uranus gives him such immense information that he is practically omniscient, as far as the One Piece world is concerned. And if it was his personal power that destroyed Lulusia Kingdom all the way from his home in Mariejoa, then that completes the trifecta of Godly Attributes by making him (effectively) omnipresent - no matter where you are in the world, Imu's power will reach you. I will also note, Eneru had all three of these traits - omnipresence, omnipotency, and omniscience - on Skypiea. No matter where you went in Skypiea, his overwhelming power could reach you, and he was always listening for those who would dare to go against him.
Also, *What If Imu's Power* just *Possessing Both Qualities of Light and Dark? What if Imu's Power* actually *Above Over Both Light and Darkness, holding the Greater Power over Both* or *Combining Two of them together,* making them *Something* even *More Higher Powerful Than Both Sides?* Because, *Don't Forget, the Abrahamic God* is the *One who "Created and Separated Both Light and Darkness,"* i.e. *Have Power Above Both of them.* And *Imu-Sama is just Him in One Piece, the Old Testament Abrahamic God "YHWH I Am That I Am"* or *Demiurge Himself. Why* People *Ignore* and *Overlook* this part a lot? *Imu-Sama is Basically the God of the One Piece World* too, therefore it's right that *they'll be inspired by and Represented the Abrahamic Old Testament God Himself here* too, *the Entity Who Created Everything including the Light and Darkness...*
