Ah, I've watched this, it's so fucking long(almost 3 hours) and so stupid. Can be fun and the special effects and action scenes are kinda wild, but this just slots into the same space as Moonfall. I've sat down and watched both these movies and for the life of me(1 and 2), I barely remember any character beats or stuff about the characters. At most, it was just some brave sacrifice a character will make, barely.

Yeah, never actually watched this movie, but did see a in-depth recap and this movie makes /no/ sense. Why try to move the whole earth, you could create a fleet of massive spaceships for far less cost. Also, how would you keep everything from freezing to death if you /did/ manage to get the earth on an escape trajectory from the solar system? I mean I guess I could /maybe/ understand if they were trying to move the earth to a new safe orbit outside the range of the expanding sun, but I think they specifically said they were trying to leave the solar system, I might be remembering wrong. Also, one of the big conflicts in this is apparently the mind upload project and the giant freaking thrusters project are somehow mutually exclusive. Why? Why not work on both? Also, how would /just/ digital upload work if they servers were still on the planet, so they /still/ need a way to get out of the suns way. It's just a bizarre idea for a movie.
