Death is not terrifying, I have had a near death experience while having spinal surgery my heart stopped, as I floated up to the ceiling I went from absolute terror to the most incredible, deep, all encompassing peace like I’d never ever experienced on earth..I also just “knew” with all my soul all would be well with every single thing In the world all in minutes...so please don’t be terrified of death..
My Grandma was widowed 39 years ago, but died last week at the age of 86 and was buried with my Grandad. Been thinking about this beautiful song a lot.
I am 42 years old and I never cried as much as I cried now listening to you. Pure emotion with the lyrics of this song (In a week) so perfectly interpreted by you. Damn ninja slicers of onions, invaded my room ...
Anyone else notice how he stopped playing as the kids ran by and was then encouraged to continue by Karen.. Thank God because it's one of my favorite songs of all times.. His voice just gives me goose bumps and the melody and lyrics make me feel things i never knew where there!
I have never known peace Like the damp grass that yields to me I have never known hunger Like these insects that feast on me A thousand teeth And yours among them, I know Our hungers appeased Our heartbeats becoming slow We lay here for years or for hours Thrown here or found To freeze or to thaw So long we become the flowers Two corpses we were Two corpses I saw And they'd find us in a week When the weather gets hot After the insects have made their claim I'd be home with you I'd be home with you I have never known sleep Like the slumber that creeps to me I have never known color Like this morning reveals to me And you haven't moved an inch Such that I would not know If you sleep always like this The flesh calmly going cold We lay here for years or for hours Your hand in my hand So still and discreet So long we become the flowers We'd feed well the land And worry the sheep And they'd find us in a week When the cattle show fear After the insects have made their claim After the foxes have known our taste I'd be home with you I'd be home with you They'd find us in a week (Lay here for years or for hours) When the weather gets hot (So long we become the flowers) They'd find us in a week (Lay here for years or for hours) When the cattle shows fear (So long we become the flowers) And they'd find us in a week When the buzzards get loud After the insects have made their claim After the foxes have known our taste After the raven has had its say I'd be home with you I'd be home with you I'd be home with you I'd be home with you I'd be home with you I'd be home with you
This is one of the most beautiful love songs ever, to lay beside the one you love for ever and close your eyes drift away and never be parted becoming part of the earth again! The love and the peace of it! My hubby and I have chosen this as our song because it describes how we feel about each other and together so perfectly!!!!!💖😘
We lay here for years or for hours Thrown here or found To freeze or to thaw So long we become the flowers Two corpses we were Two corpses I saw And they'd find us in a week When the weather gets hot After the insects have made their claim I'd be home with you I'd be home with you I have never known sleep Like the slumber that creeps to me I have never known color Like this morning reveals to me And you haven't moved an inch Such that I would not know If you sleep always like this The flesh calmly going cold We lay here for years or for hours Your hand in my hand So still and discreet So long we become the flowers We'd feed well the land And worry the sheep And they'd find us in a week When the cattle show fear After the insects have made their claim After the foxes have known our taste I'd be home with you I'd be home with you They'd find us in a week (Lay here for years or for hours) When the weather gets hot (So long we become the flowers) They'd find us in a week (Lay here for years or for hours) When the cattle shows fear (So long we become the flowers) And they'd find us in a week When the buzzards get loud After the insects have made their claim After the foxes have known our taste After the raven has had its say
The most impossibly perfect 5 minutes in the history of all time. It's so gorgeous it transcends words to describe how it feels to experience this. Thanks Andrew; thanks Karen. x
The visuals here are just as spectacular as the song, choreographing them to rotate with the camera to strip the guitar and light from the final verse, leaving just the vocals, was perfect!
This is true 19th century Gothic Romance, kids! Written by someone so young! I think it’s one of the most romantic things I’ve ever heard! Honestly! Technically, “Too Sweet” is also very 19th century romance. (Guys today are still using those tactics.) I adore everything Hozier does but to get a #1 hit with Too Sweet rather than one of his more high brow songs says so much about consumers today. Sure! It’s got hooks within hooks! I can’t deny that! I’m just more of a Francesca kind of girl. But at least now I know I’m not too sweet. I drink tea 🫖 and three is too early… 😉
Okay i think i already know why i don't like Karen in this og version of the song. her voice is too masculine and doesn't provide a lot of contrast to hozier's voice unlike alana .
@@camilladyrefrank you are correct but some people don't know the difference. I would have answered you soon but I was dancing to "Dinner and Diatribes".
