One thing I like about this film is in an interview, Martin McDonagh said that both Ray and Ken are meant to be two sides of the same coin in terms of his own experience in Bruges. Brendan Gleason mirrors the part of McDonagh that loved the culture, sightseeing and history of the place, whereas Colin Farrell's character was the part of McDonagh that was bored out of his skull the whole time because it's the opposite of being somewhere like Vegas or something.

The same thing happened to me with trying to watch it and being bored, only to watch it again and be like "How the hell was I bored before?" Such a good movie, loved your reactions!

I love this film so damn much that i wanna put it on stage at some point. I'm an amateur theatre director and my dad showed me this three years before i left highschool because it's done very much like a stage play. Thanks dad :D

I dont usually watch reaction videos but in bruges being my favourite movie. I always find myself watching reactions to it. This is easily the best I've seen. You both fucking cracked me up. Great chemistry between you both. I love it.

Sensational stuff lads. This is the film that made me fall in love with films. Got in from being out with mates at about midnight during my teens and it was playing on TV, I had missed the first 10 minutes or so but I was absolutely gripped and never looked back.

Did not quite get this movie first time watching but there was definitely something about it that made me want to watch it again.....on second viewing i fell in love with this movie and all the performances from all involved. Loved your reactions and how you more or less did the same on second viewing.

I fell asleep 20 mins. in to this movie the first time I watched it. I think I was just very tired from work. I decided to watch again during the weekend and 30 mins after the movie ends, I watched it again with some friends. Very good film, for sure one of my top 5s

Chloe was lying during the date. One of the girls murdered was one of her friends, that's why she didn't burst out laughing. She inhaled to compose herself and said it solemnly, as if she didn't believe herself. The movie is so nuanced, worth a rewatch because there's so much you will miss first go.

I had been to Bruges shortly before they started filming the movie, so upon its release a year later, I didn't know what to expect but loved to see all those familiar views of the city (It's like in a f**ing fairytale!). Like many other people here have said, it didn't click with me when watching it for the first time, but with each repeated viewing I came to love it more and more.

This movie makes it really hard to feel bad for the main character, it's okay and indifferent to kill multiple innocent people but when a child gets involved that's too much, such a juvenile sense of morality.

@Pessimist Very well said. While the reasoning behind why the priest was targeted isn't at all revealed, to insist he was entirely innocent of anything isn't a fair assessment. Ray specifically mentioned he was paid to assassinate him. There wouldn't be any logical reason anybody would offer financial compensation in such a case unless it was some sort of personal vendetta, very much possibly from being wronged by the religious figure. It also isn't ever clear how big the group Harry managed was.
