You click triangle R1. The controller visualization is there if you need to see the timing. You just click left dpad to put away chaos blades then triangle R1 into X forward R1 for the spin attack.
I tested it before I put it out but if its too quiet for others as well I can fix it for future vids. Edit: I had someone else check and it's a bit quiet for them too. I guess my headset or settings were just louder than some others. I'll fix that for future guides. Thanks for letting me know.

Cant get the timing of the first one let alone any of the others besides the recall quick charge on the axe. For the life of me i cant seem to get kratos to do anything during the kick after catching the axe. Im locked in to the kick animation then whatever input just plays out after. Pretty lame

Hey I'm having a bit of trouble with the timing of the first cancel. I'm pressing heavy attack right after the dodge to axe recall but either the inputs not coming in or his kick stops mid animation once he grabs the axe
Without seeing a clip it's a little hard to know what the issue is, but from what you describe it sounds like the kick isn't being input fast enough. I would suggest breaking down the parts and practice throwing and recalling the axe while inputting the R2 for the kick. Once you can get that every time, then add the Hyperion Pull. You can slow down the video to .5 speed or .25 speed and watch my inputs on the controller to see if yours are similar. That might help you get an idea of how fast you need to input things.
Sorry man, my headset volume was accidentally turned way up when I tested the audio. Ended up making it too quiet. I just put out a new animation cancel guide that has a ton more stuff if you wanna check it out. It's one of my newest videos. Definitely way more information and cooler cancels. Also the audio is much better lol
yo this is hard and i need to learn how to animation cancel its very imporant to play the game normally, cuz without animation cancel you cant pull off a combo without outright getting bs one shotted in give me god of war

@@Vegitobluuuuu No, the attack still goes through. Animation cancel is a way to shorten the amount of time it takes for an animation to happen. It doesn't actually cancel the attack.

Not exactly sure what you're referring to without a timestamp. It sounds like you're talking about fast recall on the axe but if you give me a timestamp to when I do it I can give you the inputs.
Thanks may not be in ur video but I got it when I was following ur video so I think you know how to get it done as well Normally when u go bare hand, click down l3 and r1 you dash forward. When I was following ur guide, at times I could do axe fast recall plus bare hand forward dash at the same time, wondering if u could share how this can be done

@@mranderson4469 I'm not familiar with the buttons layout of those games. Animation cancels are just about input timings though so any button layout should work if you click the inputs in the correct order and at the right time.

@@UAGoWSuplexer The rapid fast axe attack is easier with certain shields I think. Shatter star shield works well for me. You click R1 to attack and then click L1 to cancel the animation. It's a little difficult to get the timing down but that's how you do it. I have other animation and runic cancels I'll be covering in another guide. These take a while to make though and I'm working on a boss fight video right now. When that's done I'll probably try to put out another guide.
@@Not_Harvard GameBreakerGod said it himself, and he is really the God of this game. Every normal person would play it on square and triangle, like og's gow games, but I made the same mistake. Got so used to square triangle that I had to remap and relearn everything to start actually playing with triggers because canceling is impossible on that setup. Also you want to be able to look around with right stick all the time while fighting with r1, r2
@@ra_sheem9681 You have to time it so you don't activate the runic attack R1+L1 but still click it fast enough so you get a fast animation cancel. it takes practice but I use it all the time. You can get very fast with it if you practice. Also, you might try it with the shatter star shield. See if that helps.
I did upgrade but the mic wasn't the issue. Unfortunately I had my headset volume turned up when I did the sound check for the video so I thought it was too loud and lowered the volume. Regret it, but it was too late by the time I realized. Appreciate you checking it out
