@@tresdabney703you can also cancel them out with a fully powered dauntless shield. Put on the dauntless shield and get a perfect parry (it’ll turn orange) and then you can shield bash enemies during red attacks and it’ll interrupt them
I found that using the axe and spear on these 3 mostly gave me the best results especially in anticipation of their elemental balls and using the regular Spartan rage as a get out of jail free card was also helpful
This one is really tricky because they don't wait for their turn. But you really should have been using heavy runic attacks that hit and stunlock all of them (the blizzard, atlas eruption etc)
Blizzard is the only heavy runic I use for the axe anymore. Quick animation, good passive damage and stagger while you unload the rest of your offense. Plus the AOE is huge
I did this boss wayyyyy too early on, but once I found myself at this boss, I couldn't just walk away. I was actually enjoying the torment I was putting myself through. These assholes' healthbars were at purple!
My brother in Christ I did the first gank fight on gmgow their health was red but because of the torment I put myself through I learned how to parry all the easier berserkers and when i came back i first tried them it was fun
I get your drift bro , i challenged myself at 2018 gow which i only got two weeks ago for PC to fight all Valkyres just with axe without blades and it's runics . I played first on challenge difficulty and it was fairly hard , Sigrun gave me run for my money . Now i'm doing NG+ on gmgow and thought that i've learned mechanics well to beat them by melee . Very little i known that same Valkyries behave more aggressive , have an extra move or a few added to their usual sequence compare to challenge so so far i only managed to beat Gunnr by melee , tried Kara , extras knock me out with 2 bats 😂 Defeated her with full arsenal at my current disposal . Went through Gierdriful , she also surprised me , her sequence was much more less forgiving for bad timing and now fighting Eir and it surprised me again , like when she charges for lighthing on challenge Attreus can knock her off , on gow you have to throw an axe and when she folds wings you can't hit through using runic blessing of winter , she'd autimatically smack you back launching a wave which she doesn't do on challenge difficulty or when she attacks with mace she does 3 strikes instead of 2 with following up with a scyphe straight away. Absolutely love that they made it this way so all these fights feel a bit different and once again challenging 😁
Nahh king was hands down the hardest. Waaayyy too tanky i did him almost flawless 3 times and the last bits of health zank my whole runic attack kit 4 times. Also he oneshots xDDD
@@YaBoyBelial Damn, really? I found him a bit disappointing, especially compared to Sigrun.. But I haven't played NG+ yet, and I heard they adjusted him for it! I don't remember any one shots though, maybe it's just your gear?
@@shaan3512 sigrun actually was pretty ok cause she opens for elemt and sound counters and calls out every move like a naruto character haha. But the king casts the aoe soells at the end and oumps you up with bifrost. Its always a one tap and i playd with different loadouts.
I just fought gna on ng+ gmgow difficulty. Took me 3 hours but on my last try i killed her without using a resurrection stone, idk how i did it but the pleasure i got from it 😩
second time i fought the berserker king i died when he had a sliver of health left. used my resurrection stone and the shockwave of it somehow killed him lol
If you get Freya to fire Sigil Arrows and get a sigil on an enemy, then use the wind up attack with the Blades of Chaos (Wind up HEAVY attack for most damage) you can ignite the sigils for a good chunk of damage, stun most enemies, and it leaves behind an explosive after effect for extra damage, it’s one of the higher damaging techniques that isn’t a Runic Attack
I don’t know why he never seems to use his abilities (rage and the rage res stone, freya’s attacks, his relic and runics). The easiest way to play is to always have everything on cooldown imo
Hey zanny you know the armour you begin the game with right survival armour. Yeah upgrade it to max. It wont be difficult to do so. And use the jutonheim amulet build which gives you alot of vitality, cooldown etc. do that and you’ll become 9. For the spear which you use alot, put on the hind of the nine realms. The blades of chaos you use the first blade handles that begin with. For the leviathan axe you use the furious maul. Hope this helps
@@ferdithetank7535 I know that, but you can’t get the cuirass (which is the chest piece) BEFORE fighting the Berserker Trio, because that’s the loot you get from defeating the very trio. Unless it’s NG+ and you already have it
I'll always say in the new GOW series it's better to have lower damage but quick, 1 animation runic attacks than it is to use the high damage long animation attacks just for some bosses ability to break through those attacks and hit you during. Atleast with the low damage 1 animation attacks you can pull them off and immediately block and move out of damage.
i dont know about anyone else but i believe the shield faye gives you is the best in the game, if you perfect parry projectiles you can shoot them back and stun them
I like these videos because I know I’m pretty bad at these boss fights and had to beat them on easy because I’m a baby. So seeing zanny live out the gamer rage that I never experienced is nice
I straight used the blades of chaos for them My build had the slow down time when dodge n amulets that increase damage when lighting the blades up with flames n the relic for realm shift With those 3 n the heavy runic attacks u can take out the big guy n the sisters the axe is better as they space themselves out further
This boss fight was so long and nightmarish for me, everytime I hear one of the Illska Sisters say a spell, I know exactly which attack is coming and exactly how scared I should be
If Zanny sees this if you ever to plan to take them all on again or play the game again general I recommend getting the radiance waist and bracers with the berserker chest piece so when you doge at the right time you stop time. Quick silver for the win.
I did this on hard and I was severely underleveled. This was one of the only fights where I felt like I had to actually meet the level requirement. Majority of the these fights, I did them very underleveled and still won cuz I could grasp their patterns, and think of a game plan. At most, I could handle 2 of them at the same time, but 3 was too much cuz I had no openings and I was constantly pressured. When I got to a higher level, I made lightwork of them and I hated that cuz I beat the others at weak level and I had to think carefully. At the time, I was looking for a challenge. Now that I look at it, it was a hard challenge, but because I fought the others before this one and I already knew their patterns, I saw this as easy, but thought it was needlessly unfair because I handicapped myself.
this is the hardest fight in the game btw. i finished the game 5 time on gmgow and this fight still give me trouble. the first time took me 2 hour the longest boss fight i have in gow ragnarok
If you use wrath on one of the two sisters you can basically melt their health bars quick and then you just have to take on the Melee berserker which is relatively easy.
This was a fight where I couldn’t find a strategy for them. Had to build for extra magic damage and rage that mainly healed. Basically brute forcing the fight til I won. Absolutely unfair fight but not unbeatable. The next hard game I suggest so Zanny can have less hair as he pulls it out, is armored core 6
He would have had such an easier time if he used the rage that heals you (extra if you parry with it) instead of the one he did. That one was definitely made for boss fights
I just defeated them yesterday (I got my ps5 a month ago only) and yes it's aggravating fighting these 3 specially when the sisters loose interest in freya and start coming at u
The ice guy avoided being hit by your axe as the animation of his hover attack stopped then he charged in at you. He accidentally whiffed your attack. Kratos threw that axe with alot of vigor. Poor kratos.
If your wondering how your attack did it interrupt them it’s becuase that little armour symbol next to their health bar is runic armour so you can’t interrupt their attacks
I start the battle by charging at big guy while facing the other two and spamming all my runics so that all three get hit at the same time Since I focus the big one so much I make sure i'm able to at least do a little damage to the others at the start and throughout the battle though it gets hard in the middle of battle
i remember beating this boss while the hp bar was red using lundas armor barehanded, the seidr effect makes the boss go down to purple hp it was a fun fight on GMGW but i hate forgetting it since i just return and one shot them
Oooof, seeing Zanny suffer through this reminds me of my first time with these girls went a lot like this. Glad I don’t even break a sweat with them anymore. 🤣🤣🤣
I think he should use the berserker resurrection stone that way he can guarantee damage after a death and regain health. He also needs more AOE specials to stun the group.
Yeah he’s still using a bad stone and the worst rage skill (the damage from those attacks are pitiful, the original spartan rage is the best since you get good damage, invincibility, and healing) I also noticed he doesn’t use his runic and relic abilities often and almost never uses Freya’s arrows or abilities.
The fights actually ARE carefully constructed! I should know, as I've beaten the entire game at lvl 1, and without upgrading anything! Whenever one of the 3 enemies attacks you, the other two either attack Freya, or they'll sit and wait until they can jump back in again. They do leave you very little wiggle room, but it's certainly possible to beat every fight in this game without taking a single hit. It's just hard.
Best way to best this boss. Attack svipdagr just enough to get him agro’d on you. Usually svipdagr and one of the sisters will attack you while the other attacks boy. Then walk away from svipdagr constantly while throwing spears at the sister agro’d on you. You should kill the sisters before svipdagr. It’s easier that way.
That’s the point of the fight. The other 2 take turns throwing spells after the main gets hit enough. Fights honestly just annoying more then it is mechanically sound
my rune set is melee attack for brawler/sword enemy and range attacks for ranged attacks with first rage ability throwing boulder to do massive damage and gain health easier i finished it easily on 3rd try
Had a nightmare on this boss too zanny needs to build a poison built Lunda gear I think and more damage while time slowed makes it easier Plus god of war difficultly is mental
Once you see the opponent shining, it's because they put on a runic shield that's why you the runic attack you did at 5:20 didn't work. That's why you have to trust your timing and skills whilst playing this game, not just on runic attacks to put heavy damage on the enemy.
