Wow! What an EXCELLENT video...I wish I had watched your video before I applied my Gila Glare Control film...even though I followed the instruction sheet, you had several other tips that will help me if I decide to do another window. Thanks for explaining why you were doing each step... very informative!!
Most complete video I've watched. I believe I'm ready to clean and prep, clean and watch video again for my installation tomorrow 🌄 MORNING,don't install tint while sun is shining on the window.thank you very much.
I really enjoy your instructional videos. In another video you demonstrate your tint film box bracket attachment atop of a 6 foot ladder. Could you feature a video closeup of the construction design for viewers like me. I'd like to set one up for my own ladder. Thanks in advance.
Hi Robbie, thank you for the feedback, many more to come! Definitely check out our website www.thetintstitute.com/ for more in depth videos if you haven't already!
Thanks so much for the tutorial. Thinking about DIY tinting my 2 sliders. Here in Palm Springs and the summer months are brutal so trying to cut down on the heat coming in. You did a Great Job!! :-)
I’m not sure why I hadn’t come across your page sooner. You have a new follower of your work. You were doing this high level of tinting years ago using techniques and dropping knowledge that others are barely starting to show. Keep up the good work and nice skills brother
Very well done. Thank you soooo much. This really helped me so much. Is the liner better with the backing that you peeled off. I got some that does not do that. It is on a roll with kinda like wax paper. It says I can use either side
Great video- let me ask you something- are you take of seals from the windows or never at all? Sometimes seals are very soft and uneven and I'm not happy from the final result.
Thank you for watching! It depends on the car, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Definitely check out our instagram @thetinstitute for weekly tips and tricks
Austin: We live in Santa Maria, CA and are looking for someone to put window film on a sliding glass door in a rental. To date we have not been able to find anyone around here that does residential window film. You mentioned in the tutorial that the house you were doing was in Arroyo Grande and I wondered if you also do work in Santa Maria. We need the job done in the next week or two before the rental goes on the market. Is it possible that you would be available to do the job? Please let me know "yes" or "no". I found this tutorial very informative, but don't feel I could do the job. Thanks for your help with this problem. - Paula McClain
Hi Paula. Thank you for choosing us! We've done jobs all over the Central Coast and beyond, so we'd love to take care of this for you. I'd probably want to connect you to our front office, so they can work out the details and provide an estimate. Please call us at (805) 541-5533 anytime between 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday.
Hey guys awesome video. I’m an auto installer looking to expand into flat glass work. What is the most common VLT for residential flat glass? Also, why not use the factory straight edge for one side of the window?
Hi JP, great questions, we do not prep the outside because we are not making a template on the outside like we would for auto. We do offer exterior window washing as an upsell or in an exchange for a review. Thank you!
Thanks. Thats what I thought but wanted to confirm . I just started my business in Texas, but having a hard time finding clients. It'll work out though
@@SMASHERJP awesome, you got this!. Let us know if you're interested in website design, logo design, or a phone consult. We love helping new businesses get started!
