Usman and Colby was probably my favourite rivalry and competitive back and fourth matches, their chemistry together is awesome, regardless whom you prefer as a Fighter or your favourite, both of these gentlemen were the perfect dance partners for each other. They both made each other a lot of money too.

The rivalry was fake, mostly Colby pushing it like a WWE script. The best rivalry was DC Vs Jones that was real hatred, they couldn't even be squares off for pics near each other or they start fighter. Plus both are top 10 UFC fighters of all time. Pretty sure the hate is still strong now, they would probably fight if they were alone in the same room.

However, no doubt it was over pumped by both parties - but noone here is comparing what rivalry was the best and its not even a topic of this conversation. I was merely stating this was my personal favourite to observe, Jon and DC rivalry was definitely entertaining, but it wasn't my favourite

Dana was more scared than Colby when Usman shoved him, lol. For Colby to get dropped twice early and then regroup to win subsequent rounds is legendary. Lesser men would have crumbled and folded.

Respect to Colby for getting clipped 2x early on and STILL going the distance. That check hook was crisp and clean. Amazing fight. Also, Colby plays the villain to sell fights. Well Colby did arguably win 3 rounds in that fight. Imo First round was 10-9 for usman, second was 10-8 for usman, third was Colby 10-9, 4th was Colby 10-9, and 5th was also Colby 10-9. If you add it up you get 47-47 which should’ve been a tie. That is without putting into account that usman grabbed the cage when Colby took him down to regain his feet

I can't believe we exist in a time, where hand to hand combat has evolved to the point we have fights like these. For those who can see what they're doing, on both sides; it's just beautiful. For example, Colby got dropped in the first couple secs of the video, and parried Usmans right and dodged the left, literally like one second later. It's like watching an anime.

@@dominickd16 Agree to disagree, but I see what you’re saying. I think Colby could beat him with a couple different plans. Getting clipped early in the fight messed him up a bit but either way, you could make a case that Colby won 3, 4, and 5. But it was too close a fight to take the belt from Usman. It would have been interesting to see what would happen if Gilbert was able to stay composed because the only people I see giving Usman a challenge is Colby, Gilbert, and maybe Khamzat and Sean Brady.

Definitely has grown to be my favorite rivalry of all times, both 1st and 2md fights are hall of fame level "best of all time" scraps that displayed Alpha Apex skills from the initial build up to the 10th round and everything in between. Most definitely would love a 3rd fight, given rewatching both several times and literally both could be draws even the W could have gone the other way. Don't believe, watch with no volume and clear from any bias..... These guys are absolutely what it's all about. 110% 100% of the time.

@@Mikamichae if that was the case Rob Font would've won against Aldo. BUT It doesn't work like that and if you read into how judges make their decisions it is a round by round points system. Whoever wins the round gets the 10pts for it. Jones out worked Reyes in the 4th&5th, Reyes thought he had it in the bag and slowed down too much, he started coasting. Jones showed the heart of a champion in those championship rounds, he turned it up on Dom. He took that decision from Reyes. He clearly didn't want it as bad. And his record ever since that Jones fight proves it.

Round 1: usman 10-9 Round 2: usman 10-8 Round 3: Colby 10-9 Round 4: Colby 10-9 Round 5: Colby 10-9 That’s 47-47 Also, usman did grab the cage when Colby was taking him down which is illegal so maybe Colby could’ve had a 10-8 round but it didn’t happen

He is a Great fighter, he won rounds, but after the fight, his body language was all love lol he knew. If he won, I wouldn’t care, because it would be the biggest trilogy ever. But as we stand, Usman has dropped him 4 times, finished him once, and is 2 - 0 against him 🥴

Same result wasn’t a shock he nearly got him out of there in that last 10sec he was holding on for his life.If there was 20 sec to go a usman was just smashing his rips without Coby trying to move he would have stopped.Still good fight the better man won again.

Nah...Usman beat em. Colby lost his edge since his whole gimmick has worn off now and his daddy lost the election lol. Colby's flaw is that he always lowers his non striking hand during a punch. That is why he keeps getting rocked. If he doesn't fix that, then I don't see him wining another rematch.
