In Depth Look - Venkman Hero Proton Pack

I've been asked what makes a Venkman pack a Venkman pack.
Here is an in-depth look at my 3D printed homemade Venkman Proton Pack and I show what I did to create this variation of the Pack.
What I love about Ghostbuster Cosplays and their packs, is that there is no right or wrong pack! You are free to do what you want. I picked this version of the pack to challenge myself. I'm a sucker for details.

you forgot that in venkmen pack the cycletron lights rotate counter clockwise instead of clockwise.

Yeah, as I pointed out in other comments, I was using reference pictures and discovered that I got two packs mixed up alittle due to the references being labelled wrong on Facebook / Deviant Art and GB Fans. So, yeah my lights are wrong but I still love my pack :)

The lights on Venkmans cyclotron should rotate counterclockwise. Otherwise very nice build.

Everyone told me I did my cycltron lights wrong on my spirit pack, and I saw Venkmans pack just before they faced off on Gozer, saw his were going counter clockwise just like on my light kit

Venkman’s neutrino wand grip on the barrel is turned to the side. It’s position differs from Spengler’s and Stantz’s wands

Nice build, but you've got your streams crossed on Egons pack and Peter's. I see a few other things that are off but no one will know but hard-core gbfans. Awesome!!!!

Yeah, it was noticed afterwards that the reference package of photos from RPF was miss labled 😆 But I'm still happy with the build. It was fun! Glad you like it!!

Fantastic build my friend. Superb detail. I took the easy way and bought a ben of Kent shell. Your pack is the best I've seen.

So happy you like it! I'm still loving it, one of my favourite builds... ever! The Ghostbuster Community is a funny one, some people still dis it as it not perfect, but I love it, and it came out of my printer! Ben of Kent is a great Shell! I hope your build goes well! Good look!!!!

The lights on the top of the gunbox are the wrong way around, the smaller one should be at the front with the larger hat light behind it.

Great Proton Pack but you have a few things mixed up between the Spengler Pack and Venkman Pack! your HGA fittings alignment is correct for the Venkman Proton pack but the screw for the ribbon cable isn't on that Pack, It's on the Spengler Pack! The off set Legris elbow and Clippard brass fitting is also on the Spengler Proton Pack so you don't have to change it!

Its coming to light more and more that the reference pictures I used must have been miss labelled lol Its looking like this is a Spengler pack more that Venkman. I just need to get my lights to flash the wrong way round to fix the issue! Eather way, I'm happy with my build and I hope you like it too!

For the small split loom that goes at the ends of some of the wires and covering another. Is it 1/4 inch or 3/8 inch?

For all the small parts (Booster Tube Red/Blue Cables) they are 3/8 inch. Hope that helps!

Where did you find the reference photo showing the clippard label on the green wire? I have never seen that detail.

I should have a folder on my Facebook page, Dax79cosplay. If not I will have to update my page (away from my pc at the mo). But I'm sure they are there under my Proton Pack build folder.

@@Dax79 I think I found the folder, showing your build etc, but I see no reference photos that you used for the details such as the clippard logos on wires etc. I have seen a few reference photos of the actual screen used Venkman pack, but not in this detail.

It was donated to me by the owner of Sparkys Propshop. I'll see if I can find out for you. I also believe you can get the GB1 ribbon from Keymaster props and Ben of Kent!

No, but my buddy does. I used one of his packs as a reference from time to time. You will find him on Facebook as 'Sparky's prop shop', just message him and say Dax79 sent you ;)

@@hectorcastrejon yes, if you say you want a Venkman 'Hero' Dax79 Variation, he'll do that for you. Sparky's prop shop takes on multiple commissions and he'll do any variation and you like is asking for a price list! Let me know how it goes. Then you can bust some ghosts!
