@@tylerworthington9090 Agreed. I feel depresed discovering all songs I listen when I was been "kid" 10 years younger than now. I mean In flames exist but no same style no Jespers awesome chords, no same melodyc, its just a peace of memory in my heart from young days.
@@kristijanbehin2810 rejoice my friend for the new inflames coming out in 2023 is awesome so far. Check out the great deciever. I had given up on them but they are sounding great now. Its never going to be the same without Jesper but atleast we have the halo effect and the new inflames kicking ass
This is Acoustic Medley on steroids. Great job! Wish you had included Goliaths Disarm Their Davids as well. I think most people are not aware of it because it wasn't included in The Jester Race but the subsequent Black Ash Inheritance EP, but I think it's one of the greatest songs in their entire discography. Would've made a great acoustic version too.
Serious props to you for managing to tackle the Fredrik Johannson guest solo on December Flower on ACOUSTIC GUITAR. That's insane! 25:38 is the time stamp with a few seconds lead-in for context, for everyone listening. It's already so difficult to play on electric that the band themselves never performed it live... because they COULDN'T PLAY IT!!! It's my favorite guitar solo of all time, and you are the man for shredding it out on acoustic. \m/ \m/
Whether a guitar piece is hard or not should be measured based on the average guitarist's ability to perform it. The average guitarist would have a lot of trouble with that solo.
@@666Megiddo666 When did you see Björn play December Flower live? They haven't played that song live since 1996 and Björn was playing drums on that tour
this is just incredible! if anyone ever says "metal is just unlistenable noise" ill show em this because this is EXACTLY what makes in flames so good as a musical group, but as of rn im just really impressed by the halo effect, the guys got back together and jesper is on board too! its super cool, as much as i enjoyed in flames latest album, this core sound is what made in flames and it was captured by the og guys. but bjorn and anders are still doing good. and im glad the other dudes doing their stuff too, more melodic metal fo us fans!
This is amazing. It is beyond words how much joy this brings me. I only wish there was more, I’d really love an acoustic rendition of A Sense of Purpose as well
oh yeah, it does basically anything bjorn gelotte does on guitar is "folkly" but of course with a band like in flames and that "gothenburg sound" basically all those guys went to the same college and heard at the gates and was like whoa that sounds so cool! how do i play like that?
you know you've created a timeless masterpiece when it sounds just as emotional/epic in acoustic. what happened to this In Flames? I miss Swim and Another Day in Quicksand here, but you did a fine job, sir.
Wow! I just discovered a gem! Man, i just can't thank you enough for this! Awesome playing, great production, cool arrangements... I always liked the 'Acoustic Medley' but this, this a royal banquet!! Excellent stuff my friend!
This is beyond impressive. The acoustic / classical pieces of these songs are hard enough and yet you've somehow managed the solos as well. I love early In Flames and this is a proper homage to one of the giants of MeloDeath.
As many people here, and as a guitar player myself (and a huge fan of old in flames albums), I found this incredibly amazing. Man, the time you need to put all this together, I just can´t believe that we can just listen to it from everywhere for free. One of the most amazing hidden gems out there. Thanks for this.
It's one of my favorite metal solo's and this acoustic cover's solo is honestly better than the original. There is also a violin cover of this solo. I really want to see more covers of melodic death metal with more classic instruments.
Criminally underrated video. This what a never-to-be-released acoustic best-off album from In Flames should sound like. But we're in for another Charms/Battles/Mask substance.
This rendition and your other work is some of the best guitar music - no, music in general - that I have ever heard. You took the emotion and outstanding quality of already fantastic music and made something fantastic with it. Love the original versions, love this. Only for the Weak, Square Nothing, and Clayman makes for such a beautiful combination here that I feel it physically.
One of my favorite songs is Embody the Invisible. Especially the part in the later half where things get SUPER intense and Anders is screaming "My body will be bent from the burdens...when the shaking floor of life force...reveal its chasm underneath...If only one could be two steps ahead!...". I was wondering how that part was going to sound acoustically and when I heard it at @54:59, I legit grinned and mouthed "wooooow :) ". Who would have guessed such an intense moment could be calmed with a couple of guitar strings!? BRAVO!!
Been looking for an In-Flames playlist like this for so long!!! This is perhaps now one of my fav videos on RU-vid, I thank you from my heart for this kind hearted RU-vidr
Sometimes the little details in melodies can get lost or be unnoticed when played with distortion (and other instruments muffling elements) - this really shows how amazing the melodies were on these 4 records. Well played and thank you for this experience!
omg, what a beautiful work , I feel like I've discovered paradise, forever grateful for this masterpiece. This are probably my favourite albums of all time, thank you.
Half of these are great! Others sound like curated & bespoke white wine drinking music in the organic farm-to-table spa-and-mindfulness center’s changing area. Danke für neu In Flames Musik
I suddenly woke up at 3 a.m. and came across this beauty. It kept me awake till the first lights of the morning. I don't know how to thank to you. This must be on Spotify too if there wouldn't be any legal issues.
Well i loved the acoustic medley on Jester Race. I'd always hoped they do some of of that. But damn, like others have said awesome work! This made me seriously happy.
This is a masterpiece. These melodies are some of the best ever written and they translate so beautifully to acoustic guitar. Thanks for sharing your talents.
can't believe I haven't heard this yet. amazing. the acoustic parts are my favorite thing about old In Flames and it's great to experience all these songs in acoustic form
Amazing song writing and melodies. These acoustic covers do the originals justice, well done! Truly nothing like it. Jesper is a once in a generation talent.
Phenomenal work! You took the four classic In Flames albums with all their beautiful harmonies and created such arrangements which could comfortably pass as official versions done by the band!
@@vorpalblades I can hear Jesper in every band he played. His riffs are pretty recognizable. It's the same way I can recognize Tomas Lindberg from At the Gates because of his unique growl.
So glad I just randomly decided to google In Flames acoustic today! Even after listening to just Moonshield it's evident you put a lot of effort into recording this, and you did a marvelous transcription. You've earned a subscriber, and I excitedly anticipate any acoustic covers of melodic death metal songs you may continue to produce!
A bit saddened by the absence of "Worlds within the margin" and "Resin", two favorites of mine, but overall a truly oustanding piece, i now consider it the personal playlist of my Bard character in D&D
