@@patquint3291 The real question you should ask is, "How does a sinner get to Heaven?" Then you'll see what a world of difference there is between the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant Church. Just as a side note, Dr. Packer did sign the ECT document, but he had explained why. His reason was that there was a small Roman Catholic church he knew of and even preached in that is not Roman Catholic in doctrine. I can't remember on which video I heard this, long time ago, sorry, don't believe me if you feel like it, but I think it was a phonecall. I don't think Dr. Packer was right in this, but he certainly had his own evangelical reason.

@@patquint3291 I belong to the catholic church too. Catholic just means universal, that's all. You proved my point, I said the real question is, "How does a sinner get to Heaven?" According to you, one is saved by faith and trust in Jesus Christ AND the Church. We believe the testimony of Scripture that a man is saved by faith and trust in Jesus Christ ALONE. A world of difference there. Doesn't matter what or who came first, the test of truth is which church keeps abiding in the Word of God.
