Sir Is it mandatory to First create a hold on Mailbox for recovery the contents ? Can't we recover items without it ? I mean any direct searching and exporting after that ?
I know I've done multiple people for my attorney. If you go to to around 25:22 in the video if you click the + option above the empty box then select multiple people from your domain..I did this today
Hello - Am I right in thinking that the In-Place eDiscovery and Hold area is where you can basically put on hold a users mailbox in the cloud and delete their account from Office365? My company wants to archive all terminated users mailbox's for future searching and delete their User account from the system!

You can use the hold feature for the same and also there is Retention Policy which you can apply to the mailboxes from Office 365 Security & Compliance and then you can remove the corresponding Office 365 account. Then the mailbox will be said as Inactive Mailbox. The contents of an inactive mailbox are retained for the duration of the Litigation Hold placed on the mailbox or the retention period of the Office 365 retention policy applied to it before the mailbox was deleted. Note - You must have Exchange Online Plan 2 license or Office 365 E3 or E5.

you're wrong at one point where in you have mentioned that preview search results shows only deleted items it might confuse the learners. I understand that you are focussing on your deleted items but your query is test or discovery so you should be very clear when explaining it holds all the content based on the search query otherwise good try 👍
Thanks for your feedback. You are correct when you say that we were focusing only on deleted items, but of-course it will hold all the content based on the search query. We will try to be more clear in upcoming webinars. Thanks again for your feedback and keep watching our videos!
