Pedro, hospitality of the polish people is great. Liquor is for the weekend tehy told me, beer during the week. Last year I went to Poland with my transalp. ( south to the ukrainian border). One day I could not ride, slept for one whole day from the Polish party with lots of vodka. People are super nice. Keep on riding and do not forget to drink! Letttttse goooooo ! Greetings Jac

Regarding the meaning of Westerplatte monument it's a memorial that one can achieve impossible. You gotta consider the odds and numbers here. Poland had 200 troops with rifles and a couple 37 mm baby guns. Germans had a battleship with bateries of 280 mm heavy artilery. Shell for that gun weights over 300 kg along with over 2000 infantry with HMG's mortars armored cars and motorized infantry. 10:1 manpowerwise and 100:1 equipmentwise. Those soldiers hold for a week when nobody expected them to las a day. Compare that to France where German Phantom division got lost bahind french lines so they just told french soldiers that france gave up and so they did :D It was a big hit since it was the opposite of what blitzkrieg was supposed to be. Quite some performance when you consider the disadvantage.

The bottle you drink from is Crown Royal, made just north of here (Winnipeg, Canada) It was first made for the Queens first visit to center of Canada after she become queen, it has a specific taste of rye whisky, never duplicated by any one. I still buy that in the local liquor store. But I guess the content of the bottle was different. I'm glad you enjoy Poland, I love that country. Cheers from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

I'm coming to the baltic with a Smart car, mainly to save up some money to buy my place with wheels to stay for the winter and another special motorcycle. But it's very true for everyone, it is cold to just keep riding when temps are under 15 degrees, you get of your motorcycle and use some energy to generate some heat through walking. All good, you do you and I'll do me😊👌
