Started watching again after a couple of years. used to watch with someone who passed, so you know had to leave it for a bit. Anyway Tips: there is a date code on tyres, a 4 digit code first 2 digits are the week and the last 2 the year. Normally stamped in a square box. The front cyl running weak would be because of the crack/split in the air box rubber, sucking in extra air. MX boots are for standing on bike, not much seat work. Don't know what they use on Dakar, but that's a mix of standing and seat work. Boots should break in tho. Great vids, nice to come along for the ride. Stay safe and happy travels.
Hi Pedro, I am now in Turkey towards central Asia and hoping to arrive in Tajikistan mid August. I wanted to ask you, how many days did you invest to do the Bartang Valley, and for Tayikistan in general? Thanks in advance man! Amazing video by the way, loved it!
I ride alone unless I ride with family.. I never ride with strangers.. you don't know anything about them and you don't know their attentions ... I rather be safe and just be alone or family
I'll be straight here in start. I haven't traveled too much with motorcycles. Anyway years ago I stumbled into guys I know and we decided to do quick two day riding trip around country. There were five of us initially and plan was coarse, like I like it to be,but there was a plan. Ok first guy began to have issues with bike and he turned back after only like 200km's. Then in first evening it began. Where do go to eat. Almost everyone wanted different and we split into two groups. Then in the next morning some were wanting to start right in the morning, others many hours later. Then one guy was having minor issues with bike and wanted to change plan radically to reduce distance. In the end I rode with one other guy that originally thought route. So my advice. Definitely, absolutely be sure you know well those guys you go with. It begins to show very early on that some like to ride fast and different style roads etc. I'd say limit group to four at max. Even then you're going to run into differences a lot. Now I'd only ride with guys I know personally very well, meaning a lot of their preferences too like food, riding style, how they sleep and what they're into. Meaning true friends. Guys you know isn't enough. Habits and preferences matter so much on a trip. One good friend confirmed this as he has done multiple trips with long distances. He mentioned that even with good friend you'll likely end up in stops were you both are tired and both know they annoy each other a bit 😂
Hi! Just discovered your channel thanks for your content it’s awesome ! Could you tell me what you did on the front of the bike to have the 2 headlights bulbs as on the Africa Twin? Thanks a lot man PS: good joke on the Walloon but I swear, not everyone here is a lazy dumbass assisted person! However, I know they’re too much 🫠

I never have a plan. I have a rough idea where I'll end up but nothing is in stone. 2022, not on motorbike, I looked on google maps and thought "I wonder if I can get from Bali to Manila without catching an airplane". I booked 1 way into Bali and a few nights accom, that was the extent of my research and I spent around 7 months proving it can be done very easily. 2023 I shipped my KLR into Chennai, the rough plan was to ride to Mongolia but when I got to Pakistan the China border, post-covid, was still iffy so I turned around and rode to Timor Leste. Always ALONE and in NEVER in a hurry
Plans are like college. When you ask a returning college student why they dropped out and then came back, the answer is usually "Life Happened". Meaning life throws curve balls and our plans are just the bat trying to connect. Sometimes it does, most of the time it doesn't.
I’m planning a trip with a motor, but I just fat biked the contiguous 48 states. I had a guy ride with me for a week. I was happy when we went our separate ways. I’ve hiked, biked, and kayaked 43,000 km solo, and I prefer the freedom and challenges of being solo.
Калининград за сезон принимает до 2 миллионов туристов из разных стран. Большинство это русские и немцы. Цены дешевле чем в Польше и в Литве с высоким уровнем сервиса. Добро пожаловать
The red Peugeot 205 in 15:44 is my Grandfathers, I live in Switzerland and it is awesome to learn some roads and even history that I didn't know myself of that region. Beautiful Video, can't wait to finish my f650 Funduro, so I can do that my self. Hope you will get back on your Bike in the future, until the enjoy India. Cheers
One of the best 'Philosophical talk' I've ever heard. You should be a motivational speaker...and unlike Tony Robinson, you sounds sincere! Great video. I learned a lot and will use your pointers! Looking forward to the next video. New Subscriber.
Since 1977, over 90K solo. Not that I haven't done some outstanding runs with close Bros but I prefer slow and solo. Except for my six little friends... It's America... And PS.. I solo sail.. Open ocean and no one around... Yeah, it's cool...
Peipus is not an artificial lake. It is fully natural. -- We live in the German cultural room, and j is pronounced like in German, Polish, Sovakian, Swedish, Dutch, etc, and not like in the French cultural room like in English.
