Square basically asked, "What did you think of Octopath Traveler?" And improved literally anything someone may have said about it. Oh, Alfyn's story was a little melancholic (said few), well here's a 5 part depression arc and permanent ability to cry on demand hearing the character theme.
This is exactly how i feel. I really didn't enjoy the first game. Made it about half way and couldn't take anymore. Picked up Octopath 2 and they addressed literally all my complaints and now Octopath 2 is easily in my top 5 games of all time. A masterpiece.
looks at whatever the fuck partitio is doing: yeah bioterrorist is not the strangest one here love the battle for partitio to death and back, common partitio W
because castti’s battle theme features the xylophone, i would personally say that you CAN hear the rain-the xylophone notes represent each drop! that’s how i’ve always heard it, anyway.
The ending to my protagonist's story... though not the 1st finale i tackled, ones i eagerly awaited to see... words cannot discribe how ready i was to throw hands.
The from the dialogue to fighting the non-related boss just matched perfectly here. You could probably convince folks that the music was from this scene.
If I had a nickel every time the Apothecary ends up as my favorite character in an Octopath game, I had two nickel. Which isn't much but it's weird that it happened twice.
After regaining what she lost, she only had one goal in mind, cure the plague that destroyed her home so none would suffer the same fate, even if it ment breaking her own creed for just a moment, and experimenting medicine on herself.
Ah, the battle against: - an abused, mutated doggo/birb - Plague Knight - the immortal playboy (who's tending to his newest boy mid-battle) - a mad scientist with an inferiority complex - a money-grubber in an armed train - a diva (though they're not really fighting) - a very tragic knight who hates everybody - the bloodiest warlord since Nobunaga
I still thinks its funny how Harvey was by far the strongest enemy in Octopath 2 (aside from Galdera and and maybe Vide) due to unlocking his version of the One true Magic and he was still mogged by the absolute Gigachad that is Osvald Also love that you listed the Bosses in their "true" order
@@Georgefloydthesneedster His voice actor Clifford Chapin especially when he shouts “DIE!” And “Rain! Storm! Keep on pouring!” I KNEW it was him immediately!
I think part of it has to do that it's based on Unshakable Resolve, along with having seven additional variants based on the seven characters who get their character theme mixed into them- All excluding Agnea, who gets something truly unique for her final battle. The Unshakable Resolve part adds a bit of melancholy, too. And that usually elevates a song into something truly special.
Especially against this bastard. The Purple Rain was driving me crazy, and up to that point I hadn't even considered using Partitio as a burst damage unit with the mercenaries and well... I made it through cuz I got so pumped and when I had nothing else to lose I boosted the heck out of his mercenaries and they nuked him.
This will play when Guts finally fights Griffith to the death in a Berserk Octopath game which I dream of having! Let’s have some fans make one! I say this because I was amazed by someone doing a Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War Disturbance in Agustria Octopath version cover. Instead Sigurd was the playable character and Ayra was the boss. Here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zHEZOtidKw8.html
the boss hood is second phase, and just like all the other chapter 4 bosses (except Agnea) the second phase is For The Dawn interlaced with that character's leitmotif. In this case, it's missing because this is first phase.
@@darkdill I guess we will have to wait for Octopath 3 for monk lol. I went into the sequel without any knowledge and I was surprised to find that all the 8 original jobs were kept. They definitely have a different flavor and the exclusive skills keep them fresh compared to the first game but I'm hoping that they change it up entirely in a sequel
*spoiler* The fact that Trousseau was really innocent and kind until the Moonshade order fucked his mind up and made him kill all his friends and annihilate a town of innocent people, leading to Castti who already lost everyone she has to kill his last old friend. Castti’s story was soo well written i daresay that her Chapter 3 & 4 might have been better than Primrose’s story from the first game (AND THAT’S SAYING SOMETHING).
