Alright! Another epic day ride cycling out in the Cascade Mountains near Crystal Mountain and Green Water, Washington. On this ride I'll be riding in search of the great and majestic Mt Rainier. We got scenery for days, big views and nature bursting off these remote gravel roads. Over 42 miles and nearly 6000 feet of elevation, you already know this ride is gonna be one for the books!

Thanks! I am definitely glad I found it also, and pretty quickly too. That was pretty scary stuff at the time.

That FR74 is pretty cool to see the destruction from the white river. Too bad there is no longer a bridge there. Keep up the great vids!

i agree, it was super cool seeing all that erosion from the river close-up. yeah, i really wish that bridge was still there too, maybe they will rebuild it someday. and thanks, glad you like the vids!

connect.garmin.com/modern/course/90226503 whats goood andy my man. here's the updated Garmin course file of that route. when I was there I believe all the roads were open to public, except for that section that had been damaged and was under construction. and keep in mind, that section furthest in and next to the river, could be damaged more than it was when I was there. let me know if you hit it!🤙

really awesome video and great quality! really helps to get me through a rainy day where I cant ride :) how far do you have to travel to get to such scenery?

thanks Dorthea! glad you liked it! most are not too far, most my gravel rides from last summer were around an hour to hour and a half drive to the starting point. there a lot of really cool areas further away, but i hate driving and tend to sleep in pretty late, so i kept relatively close most of the time

What size tires did you use for this ride and what route did you take?
@cyclistpete2090
@cyclistpete2090 3 года назад
Hey Rebecca, on this ride I had a Vittoria Mezcal 2.1in in the back and a Shwalbe G-ONE Ultrabite 50mm in the front. The mismatch was due to clearance issues in the front. I just made the route on Garmin Course Creator. Here is the course file I started with, if you want to use it: connect.garmin.com/modern/course/38325703 (Use at your own risk)
