Good analysis. I want to expand on it with my own insights: The Oracle chose Morpheus to find the One because of his blind faith. She wanted someone who wouldnt waiver, even in the face of death. Morpheus was the torchbearer of the prophesy. He was John the Baptist -- a martyr who prophesied the coming of a messiah. The Oracle is a master manipulator. For example, the Oracle knew Morpheus would sacrifice himself to save Neo. She also knew this would compel Neo to behave like a hero and save Morpheus. The Oracle helped nurture the close bond and mutual obligation Neo and Morpheus have for each. This is how she gets the results she wants. The Oracle understands human nature. She understands that belief, hope, love, doubt etc are contagious that can inspire bold action to affect change.

Hes able to relate to all sides. He can relate to the machines the humans and the ancient programs.

The Oracle told me that Halle Berry would fall in love with me, that was 20 years ago I’m still waiting.

I think Morpheus didn't want to hear about Neo's conversation with the Oracle because he believed in the path the Oracle set Neo on and didn't want to "influence" it.

The One is a potentiality that exists within everyone, those awake & sleep, which is why there where previous "One", but it can only manifest when the person "believes" themself to be & "know" what it means to be. You have to "Be" it

Up to 50k subs! Congrats man! You deserve it. I think your subs will keep climbing, especially when The Matrix 4 starts being promoted more as the release date gets closer. This channel may be your golden goose. One thing I wanted to point out; and plesae know that I say this out of respect and not to troll. When Morpheus is telling neo about the previous "one" he says, "the Oracle prophesized his return." The word "prophesized" is incorrect. The correct spelling is prophesied. It is pronounced prof-eh-side, not prof-eh-sized. I hear a lot of people say it the incorrect way. They probably get confused because the word hypothesized is correct so they apply this to the past tense of prophesy. Prophesy is a verb or the action of speaking one's vision so prophesied is the past tense of that. Prophecy is a noun and represents the vision or word that was spoken. The oracle gave a prophecy(noun). The oracle is going to prophesy(verb) to Neo in the kitchen. The noun has a "c" and the verb has and "s." So Morpheous should have said, "The Oracle prophesied his return." I'm surprised that mistake made it through the editing process of the movie. I figured I'd mention this to you since the word "prophesized" is used somewhat frequently in your vids. Great vid this evening. I never noticed that Trinity's laptop had images of Neo on it. I added this vid to my playlist "best of Matrix Explained." Awesome work! I'm definitely a fan! I can't wait to see how much this channel grows!

I think morpheus knew that anyone could be "The One". If they believed. That's why he said "He's beginning to believe."

When Neo Saved Trinity in the 1st Matrix Movie..... Morpheus was captivated in the idea of how Neo and Trinity worked together to save him from the Agents

Greetings, the power of love was a major factor for Neo and the choices he made. The machines weakness was their lack of love. Hence Neo was truly the one.

Step 1) The Oracle manipulated Morpheus into believing he'd find The One. Step 2) The Oracle manipulated Trinity into believing that she'd fall in love with The One. Step 3) The Oracle manipulated Neo into becoming the one, she even gave him a cookie (inserting special Matrix code into him, similar to how computer browsers use cookies to track and recognize visitors to their pages). Would all of this have happened if the Oracle didn't say anything to all of these people? The Oracle even says "What's really gonna bake your noodle later is, if I didn't say anything would you have even broken [The Vase]?" after telling Neo not to worry about breaking the vase moments before he accidentally broke it, which suggests that she has the power to make people do things by predicting/suggesting their future actions to them.

I think neo is able to do the things he did in the matrix bc he’s a super hacker and he can manipulate computer code as with trinity and morpheus they are only hackers

The part where he stops Neo from telling him anything about the Oracle visit is because he knew one thing and one thing only. Whether he expressed a true or a false that he was or wasn't the One, he was correct. Neo is a skeptic, but he's also thrown from a hum drum life of code and crime to another reality. So his mind is at a crossroads of believing what "real" is. He has only his own perception to provide him that answer, logically. But where did his perception get him before? Thrown into a hellish, horrible world that he would never had thought was reality. Who's to say his perception of this new world will give him any idea of reality? He can't trust himself, so he's looking for answers from other individuals. Ultimately, to be the one, he had to choose it to be, himself. The journey of his choice came about not by accepting his role, but by rejecting what he had been told by others and making his own decision. This came about right after Morpheus sacrificed himself. A normal man, with the belief that he had to give up his own life so that Neo could live on. Whether it was guilt for not telling him what the Oracle told him, an unconscious desire to test the status quo, or whatever. He chose to believe he could save Morpheus, the man who taught him the meaning of belief itself. Again and again, that belief kept him reaching further and further for the truth, driven by his desire to save the man that gave up his life for him. And finally, when Trinity got out, Agent Smith again confronted him and blocked his way out. All alone, having been told what desperation awaits anyone who dares to challenge the system or its agents, he turns around, faces Agent Smith, and he choses to test these beliefs. Using all he had at his disposal, he proved to himself that an Agent could be beaten. But ultimately are in control of the system and can just come right back after defeat. Infinite lives, per say. When Smith comes right back, he believes he must flee or he will die. As he opens the final door, his belief is realized. Agent Smith unloads on him and he seemingly dies. That's when "love" came into play. Trinity simply recited what the Oracle had told her, and made the illogical and ridiculous statement that he can't be dead, because she loves him, thus implying that he IS the one. That ignited the final trigger in his belief. He loves her, she loves him. The Oracle had told him he had the gift, but was waiting for something. She never expressly told him that he was or wasn't the one. But the final leap of faith was to believe Trinity and believe his own beliefs. The Oracle did indeed word it in such a way that implied that he might be waiting for his "next life", essentially meaning there would be a point in time when he would have to choice to live as the One or die as a normal man. When Trinity confesses her love, his unconscious mind immediately returns the feelings. And since the One can't be dead, and she is in love with the One, he chooses to fulfill the role. If you need to think about it in a machine logic type of way, the unconscious choice to accept or reject the Matrix was the backdoor the Oracle created in order for it to be possible for a human to have the power of choice, while in the Matrix. Long story short, by creating the prophecy of the one, and entering love into the equation. She set off Trinity in search for something, driven by a strong feeling. Eventually, she does find someone she becomes enamored with, either by desperation to find her one true love or just finding the right guy to fit the bill. One thing leads to another, and Neo's skepticism is laid to rest in lieu of choosing his own destiny. He's the One, because he chooses to be the One. It's that simple. "You didn't come here to make the choice, you've already made it. You're here to try to understand why you made it." He accepts the candy, symbolizing having already accepted the role of the One. That's the kind of symbolism people keep missing in these seemingly cryptic monologues all throughout the Matrix. They don't make the connections obvious, they simply allude to it and you either get it or you don't.

I think that Morpheus knew something more than he lead on. It was said he would find the One. But he told Neo what was said was meant for him and only him. If he said that to Neo. He must have said the same to Trinity and the others. When rescued. He looked at Trinity to ask if she believed but she never answered. Neo try to tell him what the Oracle had said. He interrupted by saying she told him only what he needed to hear. There's a difference between knowing the path and walking. I'm wondering how many mistakes Morpheus made before knowing this as well.

Why would morpheus ask trinity what the oracle said to her. He never asked neo. He just said what was said was for you and for you alone. You think if he wanted to know what the oracle said to anybody it would definitely be neo

No. I don't think Morpheus knew about Trinity's prophet. He must have been given hints and clues by the Oracle which led him to Neo (and other potentials).

everyone can bend the matrix if they want. it's something that relates to set your mind free from the boundaries of the system. there are people though that have a special drive to do it more naturally than others in specific regions of the systems. those are called anomalies by a perception basis. in nature it would be called a mutation and evolution. in the human sense, the evolution of the mind. matrix is simply an exegeration of adapted abilities of the human mind.. but we possess almost the same powers on a weaker more primitive base. a brain interface could change that pretty fast though

What if the Oracle can activate the "One" in any person, but she's just waiting for Morpheus to bring to her someone as easily manipulable as he is?

Maybe u already explained and/or came to this conclusion. But if the marovongian can manipulate the code of the cake, then who’s to say the Oracle didn’t also manipulate the code of the cookie neo ate. It kinda makes a lot of sense.

Did you ever consider that the Oracle set all of them up the Oracle herself couldnt find the one so she sent morpheus out to find him, making morpheous believe neo was the 1 that would destroy the matrix but in fact the Oracle was hoping morpheus would find the 1 so she could destroy him before he destroyed the matrix

pause at 6 59. i totally don't see it that way. you see, Morpheus understands that if Neo is the One, he understands that Neo is the main man. This is a level of privacy and autonomy that he _must_ afford to Neo. And Morpheus' respect was not ill placed, because after all, he _was_ the One.

Why did Trinity ask the Oracle if she was the Oracle? (Matrix 3) she has seen her before, why didn't she recognize the Oracle?

Or Morpheus knew that to be the one you have to follow the path in a naturalistic way. You can’t be the one of you think you already are

So the knowledge Morpheus gave him. And if he took the blue pill. He would stay believing whatever he wanted. But would have the knowledge still. So he could go on believing he was the one. And the one has the ability to mold the matrix to whatever they wanted. Believing whatever you wanted.

I always wondered, why neo had to fight with Smith? Why did Deus ex machina negotiate with neo? Could just simply grab neo and reload the matrix?

Why does Morpheus say "we never wake people past a certain age because they can't deal with reality", if he had awoken 5 others who might have been The One before Neo? Were the previous potentials woken up as kids and raised for years before they got killed? Doesn't seem to be the case with the specific example referred to earlier on this channel.

Morpheus is Mephistopheles.. the “Devil”(perspective). The creator is “God”. You choose who the protagonist is. Allot of left out concepts make it hard to tell the King of the underground is just as bad as the AI.

But then the oracle could be lying to make an inbalance
