I met Yngwie in 2005 during his Unleash the Fury tour. I brought a Steeler album with me and he geeked out over it. He signed it, gave me a few guitar picks and then talked with me for a while. At the show he said what’s up from the stage and threw me a pick. He’s a cool dude.

Listened on your first record sometime in the 80'ies. A friend who was studying music (piano) in Moscow bought it there and the record was a gift to another friend. We would sit there for hours just trying to comprehend what was going on there musically. Without ever hearing about you before I said then and there, "I hear maestro Paganini only on a Stratocaster". Thank you for making this world a little better place for us mortals Yngwie. Keep rocking!

Just got a 2021 Fender Yngwie Malmsteen model guitar! Was on the waiting list a long time for a new one and when I got an email saying it was available I jumped on the chance and bought it the same day, the next day they were sold out again and I see why, not only is he an amazing guitar player he has designed one of the best guitars in the world, love this guitar ,like him, it is like nothing else! Best guitar I have ever played or owned!!

Yngwie is not just about speed playing for i would go to hell to play vibrato like he does it! Every note is like the last, and there is great feeling expressed through his master control of vibrato..

I’ve been playing guitar and watching you since I was a kid. I used to “nonsense shed” all over the fretboard. It basically took me a lifetime to understand what and how your playing. You have become an icon! For some reason it’s nice to see one of my lifetime guitar heroes not looking like my grandpa!

Yngwie music is my happiness. Thanks for so many years of beautiful music. In 1988, when I was 13 years old, I bought two albums. One was Seventh Son of a Seventh son( Iron Maiden), the other one was Rising Force Odyssey from my friend Yngwie. We don’t meet never. I’ve never seen Yngwie, never speak to him. But his music has been my Loyal friend all these years. Thank you very much.

I'm still just shocked and really, overwhelmed, with how easy and effortless Yngwie makes it all look. No terrible finger string stretches- no crazy right hand gymnastics- just effortless technique that seems natural and simple. Honestly it doesn't even seem like his little finger (pinky) has much to do. I know Yngwie has huge hands- but still those two fret stretches between the first and second finger don't even sort of look difficult. if anything having huge hands should be a deficit- but instead- The Maestro- the Master of the Stratocaster- it's crazy how easy he makes it look.

Yngwie, that was a great live stream! as always you are on top, I'm reviewing this video ten times! It's always nice to hear and see you play the guitar - it's divine! At one time, after a stroke, I somehow heard your music, began to be interested, listen, learn to play the guitar - this brought me back to life. Thanks to the guitar, I did not remain a helpless invalid, thanks to guitar lessons, my hands function perfectly. Thanks for being in this world. Looking at you brought me back to life!

I remember the first time I heard Black Star off your first album back in 86. I knew I was listening to something totally unheard of. With EVH setting the bar, you set it even higher, then all your clones(I won't name them) came after. You are still totally original, one of a kind and FAST! Now if we can get past all the Covid crap, you will get out there and rock again as you still shred better than anyone! Stay safe Yngwie!

I play guitar for almost 30 years but I am so affraid to even try to play riffs from this legend…. I’m 45 and I have only played pentatonic blues. I will never learn this anymore. This is what God would sound like if he played guitar…. You still rock, sir 🤟🏻

I have seen many concerts in my life, but the best two I've ever watched was Malmsteen and Steve Vai and both in the same "small" venue in Portugal almost 20 years ago! If you don't get inspired by this guy's playing nothing else in the world will! I don't play "neo" but still, watching Yngwie for 60 seconds is enough inspiration for the whole week! Yngwie you inspired me to play guitar when I was growing up on the 80s and I became bettter than most all my friends and local players. People either love it or envy it it seems. I since found Jesus and got saved "born again" spiritually and humbled myself. One of my favorite Christian bands is Golden Ressurectoin from several years ago their guitarist has your influence for sure. Maybe you could write a new song for Jesus? God Bless man I hope we have guitar in Heaven it would be such a pleasure to honor Jesus with it as well. 🙏☝️👍

The worst Part of Yngwie, is there will NEVER be another. That Is an absolute tragedy. As a very 80's child, my teens were very much forged with the likes of Mr Malmsteen.
