This is a tune based on a North African drum beat. The title refers, not to an unmanned aircraft, but to the guitar tone achieved by glam rock bands of the 1970s, such as T-Rex and the Glitter Band (before we knew what an utter shit Gary Glitter was). The guitarists then did not have access to effects pedals and so used special tunings (like all six strings tuned to one note in three octaves) to produce the glam rock drone tone. I have reproduced a version of this sound, in the solo just after 3 minutes in.
The "blue" of the title hints at the blues harmonica solos in this piece.
Gear: Home-made desert drum; tambourine; guiro; reverse-tomtom; Music Man Stingray bass; Scarlett 4i4 interface; OLP Music Man electric guitar, Hofner/Wolfgang hybrid electric guitar; Mesa Boogie studio combo amp.; Lee Oskar harmonica.
Vocals are mine, and take words from songs of the 1960s, including one by Astrud Gilberto.
