In the end Jack Marston won but at what cost... 

It's a never ending cycle if someone understands that revenge is a fools game.

I think Jack just wanted to revenge his father and after that he will live a normal life.

@@MisterAlpha444 Jack didn’t think clearly of his consequences of his own actions. Getting revenge solved nothing and it made Arthur sacrifice in Vain and so did John sacrifice in vain. It made Jack the very thing that John and Abigail didn’t want him to become.. an outlaw. While Jack was smart to not leave a trail to be track for his killing. Still Jack doesn’t feel satisfied and even anything it made it worst. It turned him into a killer and he killed a federal decorated “hero” agent. He is clearly never going to feel normal or would it be easy for him to live a “normal life.”

@@MisterAlpha444 Jack life was ruined by the government so it wouldn’t be crazy if he went against it. I wouldn’t be surprised or shocked if Jack gets drafted into becoming a WW1 soldier and then a mobster as he rise up to the ranks. Due to his many quotes in free roam or if you do side quests, Jack is clearly damaged and has resentment towards lawmen and the government.

Plus a little theory of mine is that Jack is probably forced being drafted into WW1 or he doesn’t realize the magnitude of how severed WW1 is. This causes Jack to have more hatred and resentment towards government since now he is being a tool for the government. This reminds him of his traumatic past since John was used as a tool to hunt down the remnants of the Van Der Linde gang for the government. My points of why Jack is going to be the main protagonist of RDR 3. 1. Jack was shown to have a camera angle on him while John was teaching him of how to hunt in RDR, foreshadowing his playability as a protagonist. 2. RDR 2 and RDR 1 we are shown how Jack was raised as he was growing up. 3. Due to the massive popularity of RDR 2. It brought RDR 1 into a new light. It coming out to switch and PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox because it still has backwards compatibility so it was no need for a new one and it sucks there was no pc version. it’s evident the next game will be about Jack and rockstar confirmed to be working on the Red Dead Redemption game. 4. We see the growth and development of Jack, probably more than Arthur and John in my opinion. 5. The last newspaper in the game even mentioned of World War. 6. The cycle of revenge continues unless Jack breaks it. 7. Due to all of his free roam quotes, Jack will never be the same person he was. He blames the law for killing his father. He says he has nothing to live for if he has good honor. If he has bad honor he becomes the very thing that John and Abigail didn’t want him to become. Plus he blames his parents for how he became. 8. Plus we see Jack learning how to use guns and hunt. Just like with John, he too got attack by vicious animals. John was with wolves and Jack was with a bear as they got their scars. 9. This is just a theory but what if Jack Marston met Landon Ricketts and Landon train Jack just before Ricketts had died in his sleep and thats why Jack is able bear similar skill to being like John in combat. The newspaper said Ricketts returned to America in 1911. 10. Sadie and Charles are still alive and either one of them could be the key to setting Jack back on a good path hence his redemption. Jack has a lot of potential and he would be the deadliest Van Der Linde gang member ever. Jack being smart, charismatic, and learning the mistakes of his dad and what the gang did.
