My grandma watches Fox News...my dad almost had a mental breakdown when we had to stay at her house for a week. he tried to turn on NBC nightly news once and my grandma went into a full on trump rally speech about how NBC spreads “fake news” and how “they’re a bunch of losers”. Needless to say my dad and I spent all of our time away from the living room.

Buttegieg was right when he said if they didn't go on Fox, some viewers would never hear their message. Growing up, I would've told anyone that I was a staunch conservative and proud of it! Because I grew up in South Carolina- all I ever saw on tvs was Fox, and the only friends I had on Facebook, or in person, were all Republicans, so I never heard any opposing views. I was told that nothing Obama ever had to say was worth listening to, and I believed it, because I heard it 24/7. However, when I graduated college, I decided to join Peace Corps. I gained a lot of liberal friends, and on facebook one night, I saw a video of a talk Obama was giving. I almost scrolled right past, because I had believed what I had heard- that nothing he said was worth listening to. However, I decided- just for laughs- to listen. A minute in, I wasn't laughing. I was shocked, because I realized what he was saying actually made sense. I've now learned to question almost everything I hear from that side, and pretty much never watch Fox News. More people need to hear a different message.
