@@fearless.humility I find it hard to hear any harmony when you have 30 people singing all 12 notes together seemingly at random. Thats not harmony, thats cacophany. Resolves nice, but "interesting" way to get there.
@CStoph1979 Ok. Harmony is a function and listening audience determines if they can appreciate or reject it. Explaining it in theory and accepting or rejecting the music as a work of art can be like culinary art. What appeals to one may be rejected by someone else. One favorite example I like is taking simple songs like Mary had a little lamb and hearing the challenge of how many musicians and players can hear and express it in infinite ways. Really, there is no rules...or restrictions in theory. They play whatever they want but it must sound musical and coherent...hopefully to their listeners respectfully
