Brian brings up a great point, in a two-hour-long match the fans would have to go to the bathroom, what about the wrestlers? I remember having to run to the bathroom in high school after wrestling a six-minute match, let alone in 2 hours

Don't know if this is the appropriate place for a poll question, but I'll ask anyway. Jim fires a lot of vitriol at the corporate world (and I agree with a lot of his opinion). The stories he tells about promoters shows very similar actions as corporations albeit on a smaller scale; yet I don't hear the same vitriol directed at them; it seems more like a wink and nod. That seems inconsistent. You agree?

I have heard that though the matches were fixed in the early days of wrestling these shooters would actually compete for over time in the match regardless of the agreed upon finish . So you could see how cardio vascular health could be pushed to human limits in 1 hour matches .

I keep saying this but if you want to compete against the McMahon machine you have to use talents he doesn't find appealling . Southern teams like The Rock n Roll Express and The Midnite Express were never brought in ( at their peak ) yet they drew serious box office . Others like Barry Windham went to WWF but couldn't be recreated into a marketing piece , but in the South he drew money . The secret is to use different looking talent that are relateable to regional fans . World Wide No one will unseat Vince but a ?argeregional promotion ispossible

Ray Gunkel and Ramon Torres both died in matches with Ox Baker . Wrestling is cutthroat . Ox Baker was promoted as a man killer .

Actually Ray Diedimmediately after of a heart attack and Torres I believe died in the ring .

Blacques Jacques I doubt either of them would have minded. He was a heel. If he'd dropped one of them on their head by accident and broken their neck they'd have sold it like he'd done it on purpose.
