In November 1978 came upon John in a shopping center in Springfield, MA. He couldn't have been standing more than 30 feet from me. To this day I wish I had approached him, shook his hand & simply said "thank you for the amazing music".
Whether you’re all together or contributing individually the music of the Moodys has always inspired me. How lucky to be sharing these crazy times with you. Thank you John✨✨💕✨✨
Loved them in the 70's - first four albums - and wandered away for way too many years - rediscovering my favorite band of so many years ago - yes - how blessed I am to have had the opportunity to have this rare once in a life time band be the soundtrack for so many meaningful moments in my life - both now and then - thank you Moodies
What a terrific song, John!! I met John twice at his solo shows, which were fantastic. Such a gentleman! He was so kind to all the fans, took pictures, signed things, didn't rush anyone away. I couldn't believe how sweet he was to us. Amazing music all night, great band, can't say enough good things. Go see John solo if he comes your way. Don't miss this living legend!! 💙 #10,000LightYears
These are Crazy Times, the New Abnormal. But, we have your wonderful music to see us through, and hopefully this will be over soon so we can see you back in concert.
Oh, I can't believe I stumbled on this. What a privilege to hear and see you and your wife and son in your home. John Lodge, you are a healer with this song. You and all the Moodies have brought such joy and consolation to me over my lifetime. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and wish you and your family all the best! A beautiful and touching song. God bless you.
Thank you John Lodge for sharing your brilliant musical talent. The music of the Moody Blues is intrinsically meaningful for so many across the globe. Well done “good and faithful servant”.
That was great! 🎶 Loved having a glimpse of your recording studio and seeing Kirsten on the chorus. Perfect song to keep us going and thriving. I’ve met you several times over the years and you are always super friendly and accomodating for fan photos and signatures. We just all want to be a part of your band! 🥰🇬🇧🇺🇸🎶🎸🎄🙏🏼☕️🍩
Thank you John, these are crazy times and it is nice sharing them with you!!. And we thought the 60s and 70s were crazy...loved the Moodies then and now!! Stay healthy and live long!!
Thank you so much John. As usual, another song straight from your heart. Lovely to see Kirsten too and the obvious love you have for each other. Long time fan from Vancouver Canada. Have a lovely Christmas my fellow traveler.
Oh John how Gorgeous!! Wonderful to see your wife and son Christian also!! The title says it all, should be on a t shirt!! wow, I love this so much...Blessings!! xxx
Leave it to a Moodie to nail it on the head or hit the right note in capturing a moment in time within our lives. Such sweet simplicity and beauty. Loved the Natural Avenue L.P. and that captured that time in my life as I'm sure it did for many others.
Awesome. The lyrics are so touching and reaches down to your soul. Love the Moodies since I was 18 years old. You guys are my number band to which I choose to listen to each and every day, especially in these crazy times.
Thank you John, Kirsten, Kristian, Jon D, and Emily (in there somewhere, I'm sure...) for this encouraging video and for making us smile today and always! So thrilled to have seen and met you 3 times in March just before lockdown...In the midst of cooking for Thanksgiving, our first at home, just the two of us, in 38 years; this video made me stop and remember to give thanks for all that we have. God bless you and the whole family.
You always manage to put a smile on my face even when I'm a little melancholy. Your talent and your endurance is beyond words. It was wonderful to see your beautiful wife and your talented son add to this song for all time. I love this new song. Thank you for giving the world a part of yourself. It would not be the same without you.
John you penned this well. Love the family, your wife - who is adorable!- son, and friends helping you has a basic, down home touch. The interview with Scoot was brilliant. Hope this bringssomelight to you and yours. God bless you all.
Very lovely song, John. You captured the sadness and hope we are all feeling. Your voice is as touching as it ever was. Wishing you much happiness and contentment. Thanks for supplying the musical backdrop for so many of us as we've traveled through the journey of life. It wouldn't have been as rewarding without your contributions.
Bravo ! Thanks for sharing this new one. Its John Lodge s, best Moody Blues sounding song in years ! Some pointed out the resemblance with John Lennon s´music..it might well be, but to me its pure Moody Blues. And also a big "well done" to all the musicians and relatives that took part of this. At the end of this pandemic, there will be a ton of new music by the bands and artists we love. Touring also, but many people wont be able to pay high ticket prices; the prices should go down or many halls will be half empty,
my dear brother john, i am amazed and in total awe that your incredible legacy or creating such beautiful songs that retain the hallmark of quality and excellence through the ages! i am a long time moodies fan and sincerely hope and pray that we will see a new album and perhaps even a limited tour and/or video shoot to promote your breath-taking legacy that now spans an totally uncanny and unbelievable 56 years!! here's wishing you, Graeme, Justin, Mike and the rest of the moody gang the very best for Christmas and the new year 2021 will be our collective chance to bounce even stronger in spirit and motivated to excell in love. may the blessings be. anil:)
It's true, there's always been something extremely lovable about this guy. He's refreshing, he's energetic, he's modest and he just makes you smile. Love ya, John!
BRILLIANT song John, you really nailed it! Lovely to see Kirsten and Kristian involved!!! Keeping the faith that these crazy times will end sooner than later so you will be back on the road performing your classics as well as your amazing new CD. Sending love and CHEERS to you all from Palm Springs.
This was absolutely wonderful to hear today. It is uplifting and brings tears to my eyes. It is so good to hear you sing Mr. Lodge. Thank you! The music of the Moody Blues have been such an important part of my life especially now during the Crazy Times.
I was lying on the couch staring out the window thinking about life and what’s going on in our world......went on RU-vid Literally moments later and found your song. You have a heart of gold John. Thx Happy holidays
The Moody Blues You hit the nail right on the head, In These Crazy Times...and unfortunately the worse is yet to come. Time to get on that transparent tall ship to travel through time and space so maybe one day, we can all get outta here.
