We got an exclusive first look at the upcoming Life-Sim RPG: Mirthwood. A game that promises to be a lot like Stardew Valley...but with a decidedly darker tone.
There is a lot to love about this RPG and I have high hopes for it, but one glaring flaw stood out above all others and it's something I hope they really consider changing before they release the game in full.

I agree completely about the interactions and lack of dialogue. This game has so much going for it, is so visually stunning and cozy, but with a hint of darkness, and I can’t wait to play it. But the lack of actual interaction with other characters is a huge drawback that will affect the sense of immersion immensely, and I also hope they will put serious consideration into changing it.

The devs have said that the relationship system isn't finished yet but will be for the full release, so they're aware. I think the game is going to be fantastic!

a game like this sounds awesome but i cant get past the character art and even just the way the they move. it doesnt fit the environment imo and looks kind of generic

The characters do pop out a bit. The world is pretty but I rushed to get armor on the characters to hide them because the armor looked more like the world.
