I'm sorry, fleet of planes. _You're about to feel a little pinch..._ This gives me the excuse I've been looking for to upgrade the fleet to ELRS, too. I have the module for my Zorro, and receivers. Time to get to work!
I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how they can get a wind speed indicator working without an actual airspeed (or magnetic compass???) sensor. Love these devs.
Some very smart people working on these projects, and we get the benefit for free! Don't forget to send a couple of bucks to any project you use and enjoy... Happy flying!
I am building a wing and a 5"and a LR 7". iNAV will run on the wing and the 7", but I think I'll stick around Betaflight on my 5" freestyle quad. Or is iNAV beating BF in head2head performance?
I am one of the long range flyers.. I did not understand one thing. You showed before this parameter : Trackback distance 50-2000 so what if I fly out more than 2km? Will it work too? Thx :)
Hi Painless360, firstly I would like to thank you for all your hard work. Thanks to you and other couple of youtubers I got into this hobby! I have been flying for a long time so far, however I have never tried flying a mission. As I am gonna to get into this in my next flight, I would like to ask you what would happen if a lost RSSI (control signal) while flying a mission? I assume it would return to home but I am not an expert as you definitely are regarding INAV. Thanks a lot and best of luck!
"I don't like artificial horizon because the conditions should be good enough to actually see the horizon." Must be flat where you live. My "horizon" is always the side of a different mountain.
@@Painless360 Our midwest is a lot like that, but I'm the mountains of northern Los Angeles county, elev 3800ft. Trying to fly down the mountain below my arming location has caused problems on some setups. It's annoying. Any idea what's up with the 10" presets?
Nope, I've not used the 10" presets. Let the developers know via Github if there is an issue. Lots of things coming out the woodwork from what I can see in the issues pages..
Hello Lee, I have a quick question regarding my frisky X8R receiver. My airplane crashed one day and one of the two panels attached to the two wires got pulled off. I was wondering if it was still useable and decided to contact an expert!
VTOL for rotorcraft is supported, VTOL for planes with wings is not supported (at least not the VL part ... VTO is possible with some winged models). TL/RL edition: To support VTOL for various wing types would be a very major rewrite of INAV for cases that involve transitions from an attitude in one flight mode orientation to another flight mode orientation. eg: a tail sitter VTOL takes-off vertically, and transitions to horizontal flight. In doing so yaw/roll and roll/yaw get swapped during the transition (note: there needs to be a transition, it can't be abrupt). There is also lots of details (deep in INAV) where references to gyro and orientation would need to be verified.
In addition to the excellent reply already posted, Ardupilot is the choice for VTOL. If there are any significant changes to INAV towards supporting VTOL I'll be covering it on the channel... Happy flying
